    @andytyke provided a couple of new mods for the BBS which Ive been sitting on for ages and Ive finally installed them.

    One is the ability to mention people in a post and I think they should be notified by putting an @ in front of their username.

    For example "@Gally;" Will become a link to my user profile, it will also inform me that I've been mentioned, and link to the relevant thread/post via a new area in the profile section, as well as a new tab in the shoutbox.

    The next mod helps to easily quote selected message text. When you select text with mouse, you'll see popup menu, which can copy quote to fast reply box.

    Finally a pro version of the like and dislike buttons although I cant see them anymore so I think I may have broken this currently :(

    I notice there is also a mention tag that you can use with the advanced text editor. Wonder what the difference is [MENTION=54054]Whitey[/MENTION]

    The quoting thing is really good. Makes it much easier than deleting lines and lines of text just to highlight a 4 word quote or something :)

    What happened to the STFU button? On my bar, it says 0 STFU's received, yet I haven't got the option to STFU people.

    been driving me mad. keep highlighting text and realising it isn't on this forum

    it was removed, mainly becua epeople were fed up of getting loads of alerts stating they had been told to stfu lol.

    Now the mod has been upgraded you should be able to turn off alerts for individual buttons in your profile, so maybe it could be re-enabled

    @Gally, think I have done it, when the mod is upgraded you need to save each individual button again, think it should be done now

    I've just subscribed to a hash tag, apparently.

    Whenever somebody uses this hash tag - #wow - I'll be notified, allegedly.

    Still none the wiser regarding the STFU thing.
