How easy is it to get a taxi in Blackpool at 3am on a Sunday morning? I'm going to an event at the Ballroom - is there a rank outide? Is it easy enough to flag one down?

Ta muchy :)

You could try getting a seaside donkey.

Don't let EastStander hear you say things like that - he hates the term (same with pre-order ;) )

Really easy for you. At the back end of Coral Island amusements which is about 150ish yards from the entrance to the Tower (it's to the left near a pound shop) there is a taxi rank that's always got plenty of taxis.

Get yourself to Toast Blackpool for a meal too. It's only a few minutes from the Tower on the same stretch where Opera House is. Can get a main meal and a pint for under a tenner. Proper food.

Dont do what a mate of mine from royston did a lot of years ago and i kid you not.
he went to blackpool on a club do, was boozing all the way there, was half cut when he got there, they then booked in to the boarding house got washed and changed for the night and went out on the booze for 7. Just before he went out he wrote the name and address of the guest house on the back of an envelope one of several he had in his pocket. Early hours of the morning totally wrecked he got split up from the guys he was with, so he jumped in a taxi gave the envelope to the taxi driver and said take me to this address, he promptly fell asleep and yes youve guessed , he woke up in Royston outside his own home. Gave taxi driver wrong envelope.
