... the most sincere thanks. It has been an absolute pleasure. In spite of wind, rain, the result, and Hicksy 's emissions.

I am sure that you, like me, had lumps in your throats at half time when 4 sides of the ground applauded your efforts. If every one of those people gave just £1 .....

Thanks also to The Supporters Trust for their support, and to everyone who donated en route, in the pub and outside the ground.

I've been made aware of difficulties in donating so here is the link that works. http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/dsy

Absolutely proud to be a Barnsley fan today. Disability Sport Yorkshire salute you. I think my boss has just been converted to the Reds!

Absolute pleasure. But that's three defeats from three walks. Let's run next time.

Thanks for having us. Enjoyed. Great company and apologies for my mini tantrum with a gobby town fan in car park at end . Uncharacteristic

Pleasure to do the walk, thanks for organising and for excellent work with the support vehicle!

I hope the donations keep coming in

Well done everyone! By the way Fiona, I'm not sure that link has been used on all the social media that has gone out today. I donated earlier but suspect it might have been a link to donate to the charity rather than to the event. Not that it matters but just so you are aware.

    Cheers Gally,

I know some folks were having issues with the other link, so we started using the Team DSY one. It all goes in the dame pot, and at some point, I will let people know how much was raised. There were a fair few notes shoved into the collection tins, so thanks all. :)

A great effort by all, but that comment ruined the moment. It's up to each individual which charity, if any, they donate to.

I'm currently planning a route for the game at Brighton on 24th September. I'll try and avoid woods this time.

We'll have to swim across the Trent and Thames but apart from that it should be a fairly simple plod.

You didn't fall for Stahlrost's "I know a short cut through the woods" thing did you?!

(Actually that was my suggestion, as it did save you about a mile and a half around Clayton West). Was it that bad? Sorry.
