Don't get me wrong, i'm not over joyed at losing players, but we do still have players in the team that still do need our support. instead of getting down about it, lets show that we are strong together, get behind the club and give the rest of the players, our manager and staff our support. I echo other words, players come, players go. but we still have our club, we are still in a good position, enjoy the ride... Could be worse....
Wouldn't it be amazing if this were the biggest spoof ever. Still nothing officially from either club and just some grainy photo of Winnall with two unknown others (not the manager) appearing to sign. it is unlikely, but I would laugh my socks of if it were a spoof. I'm Trump (call me Donald) and i'm in denial. I tell you its all FAKE NEWS!!!!
Which was the manager who used to talk all week about players being injured, only to find that they miraculously recovered at about 2pm on a Saturday afternoon? Was it Keith Hill? Can't quite remember.
There's the odd exception I know Kev (there's always a few who are never coming back on here or going back to the well. Ever. But do...) but there aren't too many that I've seen suggesting they are withdrawing their support or owt like that. If I can support them with Ian woan in the side, or when we sell our ONLY fit striker (old bambi Fallon) and play the next game with Anthony Kay up front, if I can buy a season ticket when we had no players registered until just before the season kicked off or even more recently through a period of losing eight games in a row to end up bottom of the third tier, I can deal with losing a couple of players whilst we're in the upper areas of the championship table. It's just the whole situation of the 'rumoured' transfers, the derisory fees meaning there's little point in cashing in, and especially the club they are going to, a local rival for league position, rival for new supporters, rival for local young talent, that is the issue. And it's a huge one. If the fees were 1.5million for winnall and 4 or 5 for Conor, possibly. But the figures being quoted? I know they've only 6 months on their contracts, but it just seems like handing it on a plate to the oppo for peanuts. When the heart was torn out of Keith hill's team we went on a disastrous run and survived because of Portsmouth's points deduction. I would hope we are too far in front and have too many other good enough players for that to happen here, you'd imagine another 12-15 points from 21 games would be ample, but we've got to get them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting we won't do that comfortably, but another couple of sales, and lose hecky say, well, then stranger has happened. And what about next season?
