Would somebody like to fill me in why it's certain he's leaving all of a sudden. This morning Steve Bruce name dropped him in a interview and said that they're waiting for something back from Barnsley, I've checked twitter and there's nothing concrete knocking round (unless I've missed it), yet on here the mass hysteria continues that he might be gone before tomorrow, or that tomorrow is his last game, what the fans reaction will be to him leaving but has anything actually happened that has fueled this or is it just people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 63?

Well he and the villa owner are now following each other on twitter.

And a villa account which is linked in some way to their medical department, who seemingly are never wrong, have said it's all done bar the medical which has been pencilled in.

    But nothing official.

It's absolutely nailed on cos him and the Villa owner have followed each other on twitter so can no discuss contract talks via DM (?) on that ultra safe medium as there is no other way of communicating in this modern age:rolleyes:

If Conor Hourihane as any sense he'll stop at Barnsley while the summer then maybe a Premier club (no transfer ) Villa's not going up and nether is Wendy. Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham for me.

The risk with that is he picks up a serious injury and gets no move at all.

As selfish as it sounds. Come the summer we get nothing anyway.

He plays tomorrow if still a red. And if he gets injured. He gets injured.

The bid may not have even been accepted we turned down 1.25.million for him so will have to be more than that.. Maybe we should leAve robo out incase he gets injured and he don't move to burnley and bree aswell

If he doesn't we lose him. If he does we'd stand by him.

Personally think he may stay until the summer. Bree more likely to go.

No idea how it all works but reckon Conor would want to see this year out with us and join villa in summer.

Transfer and loan back? Would make the £1m more understandable.

He trained with the squad today and eat his tea this evening in Barnsley so I think he will play tomorrow. To be honest if we do sell I'll be dissapointed if we don't get 3million bearing in mind forest got 3.5 for lansbury. Hope he staus tho

I agree, he can't leave unless we agree to sell. I was just pointing out from conors view point not moving now is still a gamble.

If tomorrow everyone is heading towards the tunnel at full time and Conor is still slowly applauding the fans taking an age to catch up with the rest of the team, I think we will know it's a lap of honour for him.

As part of the deal. Effectively villa get him, rather than tug of war in the summer, for a small fee. Otherwise I'll never believe we've let him go for £1m. Imagine it would be a lot lot more.

Just hoping that CH, as captain of the team, wants to see through what he's started. Hopeful expectation.

Amazingly, three firms are still going 40's for the drop. Should be unlikely, with 38 points, but look at the facts.

Conor all but gone. Villa also interested in Bree. Roberts strongly linked with Burnley (3.5M), and Angus with Norwich (1.5M). Scowen reported to be interesting Ipswich and is said to fancy a move back nearer the south.

My view when trying to piece what in the public domain whether rumour or not is that Vila have made a bid for two of our players. Seems likely that it's Hourihane and Bree. Maybe this gives us more bargaining power in the deal. I think both are sensible players and have more integrity than Sam in all this so don't seem to have forced anything to happen.

Maybe Villa have bid but there isn't anyone answering the mail.

Finally my biggest worry is that it looked like the club had no intention of strengthening our squad this window and we are purely reacting to anything that happens. With no CEO, Pat ill etc then we now are in a high risk position which will leave our squad depleted in players and experience and destabilised unless we see something happen this week more than a few junior loanees
