    We are four points outside the play offs and still have Sheffield Wednesday to play at home. I believe we could do it. Sadly it seems that the club will be satisfied with survival.

    Leeds fan was asking if we had played above ourselves last night. I said no and that's why we're 8th in the table.

    He then said we and hecky must be looking at the playoffs. I played that down and said we would be happy to be safe and anything else is a bonus.

    He couldn't believe it and thought I was being negative, but this window could have a big say on which way we go from here.

    Playoffs would be great, and with this team together and a few additions, who knows?, but it will be what it will be.

    I'm just happy to have made the step up and to have watched this team playing this football.

    It's much better than looking over our shoulders and the thought of being back in the pub league.

    I must say though, if there is any chance of getting up to the prem, if only for the parachute payments, then we must go for it.

    Sadly we still have fans who make blind assumptions without having any facts to speak of. How do you know that we would just be satisfied with survival when we are 8th in the league and all to play for?
    You remind me of the fans who always use to say that BFC were a club that didn't want to go up. Then what happened. We got promoted to the premier league. Bet you poop at parties too.

    Conan also said we had no chance of promotion last year, so I'd advise lumping on now :)

    That said.... Winnall going was OK because we score from all over the pitch but Hourihane would be a huge loss. Not sure we even have an obvious replacement. Still, we'll see.

    I'm being positive. I've just said that I think we are good enough to get into the play offs. However, the squad needs strengthening. More than ever at the moment. If we do not grasp this opportunity we will regret it.

    That doesn't sound very positive to me. It reads like you are assuming the club "don't want to go up" which we all used to hear before 1996/7.

    Other than that I agree that we'll probably never have a better chance, if some dosh can be found from somewhere.

    If the only business we do in the window is to loan a bairn who has played ten games for Plymouth (who did ok btw) it doesn't look very ambitious to me. Especially when we've brought in about £15m transfer fees.

    The window isn't closed yet. Why not wait until it's closed before deciding whether we've done OK or not?

    I was told off at the game last night by the young lady next to me who said I was being negative. I said the free-kick was too far out, and Conor was too close to it to have a proper shot. She gave me a right telling off after it went in the top corner. Like all females, she was right.
