Winnall forced a move and bree and conor's contracts are up at eos so it's either cash I'm or lose out. Should have got more for bree tho. Hope hecky gets backed or I won't be happy.
I reckon this £6M for the pair that's been doing the rounds all day, is just a ploy to make Hourihane's departure a bit more palatable. People are naturally assuming it's £3M apiece. I reckon it's Bree £4M and Hourihane £2M, seeing as £4M was the figure first mentioned when the Bree rumours started.
I don't get why people keep saying it as a pair like they are a pair of socks that come together or something. Why not sell Bree for 4 million (with a decent sell on clause) and keep Hourihane. There's no way we need to sell him after the Stones/Mawson/Holgate/Winnall and now potentially Bree money.
3 mil is a great fee for a developing right back with injury problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep good luck James Bree excellent prospect but if we have received between 3 and 5 for him I think we have done well as he is too injury prone for my liking. Will be gutted when Conor joins him though
Owt like 3m+ for Bree and a healthy sell on clause is very good business especially given he is out of contract in the summer. I would have thought his current ability will be replaceable for a fraction, future potential is another matter. Conner is another matter, with the coffers seemingly brimming, I'd hang on and let him go at the end of the season if possible. I'd be very angry with the club if he goes and we don't have a midfielder in through the door very quickly.
Don't think its bad money... not great. Just hope Hecky gets more than a couple of hundred grand to spend.
Bree's sale will be loaded with sell ons and clauses which is why the initial payment may be lower than people want. Exactly the same as when we sold Stones, exactly the same as when we sold Holgate. It's the way we do business and is potentially the way for a large windfall rather than a medium sized one off payment.
