But we accepted a 500k bid for a striker who has scored 11 goals in the championship this season and scince 2013 only Sergio ageuro and ross mcormack have scored more. And now we are looking at replacing him with omar bogle who has scored 11 goals in league 2 will cost us about 1.5 million so we will have to put a million pounds towards...... the mind boggles terrible bussiness

    This.

I'd play for the pigs for £18k a week. I don't blame Sam, but **** me, we are weak as pi55 when it comes to turning down derisory bids. We paid more up front for Bradshaw and the same for Moncur!

I don't have a problem with selling players but we will never compete if we sell our best striker we have had in years for peanuts.

It doesn't matter if it's bogle or whoever we have just sold sam winnall for 500k like most agents and papers and reporting to get a half decent replacement we will be around 1.5 million short so it's terrible bussiness imo

Won't Sam also receive his remaining wages from us unless he made a written transfer request or agreed to waive them.

    Football really is ******.

Of course he will come good mate, he is f-ing good. Newcastle fans rate him very highly, he plays for our country whilst not always the best point for an argument he scores a lot of goals against other nations. He just needs a run of games and he will tear this league up, no doubt about it.

I suspect Winnall if he wanted to move would waive it but yes in principle that's how it works.

They are after him yes. It's just if we want to self-destruct fully and sell our captain, ours and the leagues best player.

Exactly this and that's the point being missed. I know we can't compete on wages, and Sam would have walked at the end of the season. I didn't have a problem with that. What I cannot accept is giving him away mid season to our neighbours and some would have said promotion rivals.

Still think it's absolutely pathetic and nothing can explain it away. This is nothing to do with who we sign, it's the fact we are still giving players away.

500000 taken but the damage to the fan base will be much much more than that.

In view of the backlash, they should declare it then. Otherwise they deserve all the aggro they are getting.

Well, if I'd just signed Winnall I'd be after Conor for obvious reasons. If they're willing to put in a bid of £4 million then I reckon we'll accept it, unfortunately.

Im not one for blowing my trumpet about who i may or may not know. However its a hell of a lot of peanuts.

The clubs come out best in this saga. By a long shot.

Didnt ask about conor. No point. Hes on for better things than the tesco bags.

We are Barnsley FC. Of course we'll sell Conor to them too. Within hours of their first tentative bid.

    I mean, why wouldnt we?
