It wasn't £3.20 a pint last season at Oakwell if that's what you meant

Call me tight fisted, but i eat and drink before i go to the match. I might take a bag of uncle joes with me, but i can't be bothered queing for overpriced food and drink. If nobody bought it, they would put the price down.

I eat before the match because it's normal to have lunch between 12-2.30. I'd only want a pie/other snap at 4 if I'd been drinking all day.

It was 3.40 for a can of Worthington and bottles of cider lager etc.

The cans were the 550ml ones. Not sure about size od the cidre and lager but id hazard a guess about same size.

The cask was slightly cheaper however it was like rocking horse *****. Hardly ever any at half time.

Even at an average of 3.40 last season its still a 10% increase. 20% cider

The Londontykes catch the booze express from That Big London at 10am and we take our own 'refreshments' for the journey. After hitting tarn at about 12:30 / 1pm we head to The old No.7 for a catch up with exiled Londontykes and other fine fellows and ladies. Then it's down to the ground for a well earned break from drinking before our booze express home when a drink de jour (usually a spirit 'cos we're a bit full up) is drank on our sophisticated trip home - sometimes accompanied by song (classics such as 'Red suspender', 'Tiptoe through the Ponty' and 'The Bobby Hassell song') and banter.

    So no... I won't be paying £3.70 a pint in the ground!!!

Why anyone would think that's a good song, is totally beyond me. They are chanting about the Yorkshire Ripper, and it has zero to do with football or Barnsley FC. I don't understand some people.

Yep, can just about tolerate most other songs but that one makes me cringe every time. Absolutely no need for it, just sing something else.
