my mate's coming up from that london, and the plan was to go to the leeds match. but i refuse to pay that much, so will be spending it on beer in town instead.
Not me. Haven't been since they started ramping up the cost to silly money and I don't see that changing any time soon. I would really love to see us boycotting the game as away fans so no-one went and they got the message, but there are always some people for whom no price is too high. Respect to them for wanting to pay it but for me there are other more important things to spend money on and there will always be a limit to what I will pay. And £36 is way over that limit.
it just typifies leeds, full stop. trying so desperately to be 'the london of the north'. permeates everything the city does. ridiculous football match prices just another facet of that. i really dislike leeds, quite a lot. manchester is so much cooler, cos it doesn't have to try. other than the way out, the only good thing about leeds is the brudenell social club.
Used to go to Leeds every time we played them. Seen some brilliant Barnsley victories there. Haven't been for a while now though. It's not just that it's £36, which is too much, it's that the £36 is going to Leeds United and I just can't stomach that.
I won't be paying that much, not a chance. I know a couple of lads who are going pick and choose their home games because BFC have their pricing strategy all wrong; they don't get the irony in their actions.
It's cheaper for me to pay that, than it is to attend a home match. But I still doubt I'll bother as £36 to Leeds is hard for me to justify. If I get a freebie then fair enough.
I will be going scene of some of my favourite matches and the missis has said this has to be my last season of going to away matches as I come back skint and grumpy. It's too much I agree but then football is ****ed these days isn't it.
Yep, I'll be there. There are loads of people moaning about the price and I agree that it is too much really. However, I look at the whole package... My Millwall ticket was £23 + £15 petrol to Barnsley and back + £25 coach and that's before a couple of pints and a bit of snap so this actually is one of the cheaper one's for me.
cant really include the cost of travel into the price of the match, its about what the club is doing and whether in principle you agree to it,or not in my case. Its a fcukin rip off and it would be a step forward if one clubs supporters decided they wouldn't pay it and completely boycott the game and possibly gain some wider support from fans at other clubs.
WTF...£23 a game at Well, but they'd rather give Leeds £36!!! Feckin idiots...Typifies why we struggle.
