Welsh tit picked him up for less then £200k when none of us had even heard of him.

Not been the same since his injury. Thanks for the two good seasons Muller, and the money ain't bad either.

we should have been getting a lot more . why do we always sell for nothing.

even donny are asking £8 million for stock and mills. they'll never get it, but at least the asking figure is high to start with.

If he's not even had one good season, why is the money sh*t?

And, no, I know he doesn't 'find' these players, but he signed him. He gets the abuse for selling the players, so why can't he get a bit of praise for buying somebody?

Where did it say we picked him up for under £200,00?

All I can remember is an undisclosed fee being mentioned at the time.

we should have thought ahead and got lucas from leeds as back up!!

we finally get 2 good keepers to fight for the jersey and we go and bloody sell one.

I don't think SD was ever going to keep both 'keepers

The public made it clear that they wanted Steele, so Muller had to go. Under the circumstances, I think it would have been a waste of a salary to keep Muller.

"give him the no1 jersey and let muller try and win it back, he's earned it"

A comment from ryhilltyke on 5th June 2009.

And before you say it, I know you didn't say you want Muller gone, and neither did GudjonFan.

Yeah, I wasn't getting at you

I think it's fair to say that there was a groundswell of people that felt that Steele had been badly treated and deserved another chance in the team (especially as Muller was struggling).

However, I guess SD though the money for Muller was too good to turn down - especially as he was on "first team" wages. I'm not sure we can afford the luxury of having two "first choice" keepers on the books. I'm sure he will get some cover in though...

Wouldn't you rather the money was made available to strengthen the team forward line?
