1. Folk singing abart Hourianne as if he still laiks for us 2. Folk chucking paper on pitch 3. Davies ed a mare. Mek that 4 things: 4. Watched it back in slow motion 1000 times and it wornt a pen.
Watch out on #1 anything but praise like he's just donated thee a kidney is met with angry messages and pms.
Rubbish, lads. We are bigger than that, and Conor will always remain a hero. He is a symbol of how we've developed as a club, and there are more Conors in this present side.
4. Exactly. Slow motion. 1000 times. The ref gets one look, one angle, full speed. If it had been a tarn player going down you'd have been screaming for a pen.
I can understand why it was given as you say he gets one look, but the fact is upon replaying it he got the ball first, so the decision was incorrect.
I've no problem with any of the lads who left and unlike most i include Winnall in that. I just won't applaud or sing for opposition player's. I had no problem with him being applauded when he attended the Sunderland game. But while ever he is on the pitch trying to beat us then no.
I just can't get my head around singing about Hourihane whilst he's playing for the opposition. I'm fine with his name being applauded when read out or the player being applauded following the game but not whilst he's running around trying to put us to the sword. We had eleven of our own players on the pitch at the time of the chanting, surely it's in our interests to sing about and motivate one of our own players as opposed to feeding the ego of Hourihane.
1. I wouldn't sing for an opposition player ever but Conor definitely deserves respect for his time here. Nothing wrong with respecting previous players who deserve it. 2. Yeah the paper was stupid. 3. I've watched it a couple of times and I've still no idea what Davies was doing for the 1st goal. Just let the ball go through him. 4. Didn't think watching it at the game but watching it back it was definitely a penalty for me.
I didn't join in the singing but it made me smile a bit. I'm pretty sure it was just done to wind up Villa, as they were singing it to try and bother us so our fans singing it back was saying that we agree he's ace and they won't get to us that way. I think it was more at them that at him. I did applaud him at full time though, I remember the interview he gave on the Reds Report saying he regretted not going over and clapping our fans at Villa last season so it was obvious he would come over yesterday.
I didn't join in with the singing of Hourihane's name but I didn't have an issue with it as it was 3-0 & the game was over. If it'd been closer I would've seen it as a bit weird but the game was over & I think some of our fans just joined in to keep themselves amused for a bit. I clapped him at the end.
