... I saw U2 at Sheffield City Hall on St Patricks Day. They are a marmite band, but in my opinion have produced some brilliant music down the years & it was a memorable concert. Pretty unlikely I guess, but was anyone else at this? 35 years... where does time go??
Saw them a few times in the mid 80’s Saw them at Milton Keyes Bowl in 1985 with support from R.E.M., Ramones, Billy Bragg and Spear of Destiny-pissed it downbut a great day! Not been able to get tickets on the tours this century
Listen to less commercial bands owt warriors 10x better, imho of course. Stuck mojo Bolt thrower Nailbomb System of a down Ministry Lamd of god ECT ECT etc
A slightly different slant, 35 years ago this week I was on honeymoon, my performance must have been ok as like U2, we're still together. Lol
I saw them at the Limit Club in Sheffield, think it was 1983. Tour after that I aw them at Manchester Apollo. Not a band I've been into after that time really.
