When the **** are we going to ditch this ***** system.
1 man up front at home is crap.
4-4-2 at home. And tell the defence to stop playing it out from the back.
Worst performance since Altrincham away in FA CUP.
Tactics are starting to become woeful.

Doesn't matter what formation you play if players hide.
The bad passes weren't just a result of bad play or interventions ,they were from players trying to get rid of the ball asap.

    Tried it - dunt work.
Lack of options on bench says Hecky - where have I heard that before?
5 goalkeepers on their way here in January tho.

We started 4-4-2 second half with little improvement. See my earlier post about formations. If the players don’t get the basics right formations mean nothing.

They are young players and undoubtably you will get bad matches every so often.

Absolutely, it’s just that failing on the basics kinda makes it harder to take.

Formation is irrelevant to a degree if your players aren’t good enough. I think we want to play 4-3-3 but without Isgrove‘s pace and harrying don’t have the personnel.

I completely agree and it sends out the wrong attitude right from the start. 1 up front especially at home suggests we dont want to lose games, and while we might be short on other options Ive always preferred 2 up front.

Not got the midfielders to play 4-4-2 and not got the forwards to play 4-5-1. Hence the square pegs in round holes approach that is enough to beat the poorer teams, can compete against the middling teams but gets exposed against quality.

Err no, Im not in the least bit interested in Chelski Town. I didnt even mention them did I ?. ;)
Look I know that some teams use it to their advantage and my main gripe here is that we've overloaded ourselves with midfielders this year, and that means we've put ourselves in an awful position. And lets not get started on the ludicrous attempts at loan signing Ollie McBurnsley.

I apologise first for this post but if my team lose to Leeds in the way they did today then I am sorry the boot is going in.

Bradshaw, Ugbo, Moncur, Potts, Williams, Gardner not good enough today or for the championship in general, hammill Mcdonald fryers borderline if they are upto it. Yiadom Davies were poor and need to improve Lyndsay and Barnes need to show more than they did. Hedges did well when he came on but he's not ready yet. We need to show more than we did against Cardiff and Leeds and hope there are 3 worse teams in the league by the end of the season and that some of the player we have improve significantly or we get some substantial investment in January.
Hecky needs to find his best team and formation today wasn't it.

You can analyse the times where we started 4-4-2 or switched in-game to 4-4-2 and you'll find that our situation in the game worsens. Because of our age and relative inexperience, we need 4-5-1 (or, as the club describes it, 4-1-4-1) in order to try and protect the defence. In some games that will allow us to attack on the break and beat teams (see Forest (home) and Sunderland (hom.e)). In other games (today) if the opposition are simply better (and usually, more expensive) then it will make no difference. Today was hard, but we are not as good a team as Leeds. Sainz and Alioski are simply superb players, and Leeds will need to get to the next level quickly if they are to keep them. No problems with our lot today - the can only do what they can do. They weren't lacking for effort - only quality. But they are a young, honest squad who are eager to learn. And they are learning with the best manager we have ever had, who is also still learning.

Agree with this playing it out from the back, it`s too slow lets the opposition regain shape and then when we are pressed we finish up with any of the back four just hoofing it forward, Are we doing this because our keepers kicking is woeful?
What happened to the slick one two touch passing we witnessed against Derby, last 2 games we have failed miserably to string passes together and when we have got into decent positions we have all of a sudden become shot shy.
