Of course it is but so far since this pandemic began, despite the scare mongering it hasn't come anywhere near being as overwhelmed as it is most years which we consider normal.
Boris is the one making the rules, Corbyn is an ordinary MP from a minority party. There's a big difference between the two.
"Stay safe" what a meaningless platidue that is I hope we see the back of that one. It's as bad as people posing for profile pics with Masks on. Personally the only thing that has and impact on me at this point is closing the schools, in fact financially lockdowns have been great for me. Maybe I should look for the positives.
My apologies, for some reason I thought that you was talking about his pillock brother (due to the comparison with boris' dad). I completely agree with you that MPs should have to follow the exact same rules as us and Corbyn has been a pillock for not doing so
Be kind mate. Really like so many posters on this board, definitely including you, and so many are polarised by and at the end of their tether due to Covid. Just remember everyone's circumstances are different, and have their own personal experiences and pressure points.
He's not wrong though. His posts do show just how absolutely ludicrous our reporting method is. Died for any reason within 28 days is just a bonkers and misleading way of reporting things and we all know it is. The number of people testing positive each day IS useful but the number of those requiring overnight hospital treatment is much much more important and for some reason we are focusing instead on the two least important figures purely because they're the highest figures and therefore most alarming.
I believe around 20% of cases are asymptomatic if that is what you are asking. It’s not so difficult to find this stuff out for yourself should you wish.
No. Playing it down is ******** and dangerous. The 28 days thing is dangerous. Over 3000 people have died this week, within 28 days of a test. It's either Covid or walking under a bus. It's Covid. Denying this is dangerous.
The problem is it really is hard to find information out because there is so much conflicting information and if you listen to the government's official experts whitty and balance you know that they have a track record of false information and completely getting it wrong but if you read or listen to something which goes against the governments narrative you are told that the scientists and experts you are listening to are crackpots and shouldn't be listened to.
What do you mean it's either covid or walking under a bus? Do you really not understand that of those 28,000 people who tested positive (including the many who tested positive asymptomatically) there will be a number who died of something else like my aunty?
But the denials are intrerly dangerous. The conspiracy theories are dangerous. There's only so often you can be kind. These people are dangerous.
I've looked and read lots of different things. I find it difficult to get my head around anyone not being ill classed as a "case" for a start. Just wish the reporting would give some examples of usual hospital numbers and usual amount of deaths. Instead we just have the totals shoved at us daily. I'll Just keep doing what I'm doing regardless and hope the schools don't shut and abandon my kids again.
It is what I say it is. People look at numbers and say "Oh look. It's deaths WITHIN 28 days of a test," as if people drop dead regularly. Another blunt trauma. Another his crash. Another stabbing. No. It's Covid. People are dying of Covid. It's that's simple.
You lot can carry on. I'm watching the second half now. Enjoy the game. But don't play down this ******* disease.
I've denied nothing. Played down nothing. I haven't expressed anything that could be considered a conspiracy theory. Don't worry be as rude as you like I'm a big boy I can handle it. So asking questions is dangerous? A sarcastic comment pointing out how stupid the counting method is, dangerous? Really?
I don't think he's denying it mate, he's asking questions. He's not posting conspiracy theories either from what I can see. I sit on a local authority outbreak management group. At those meetings all questions are considered and aired, and answered by experts in public health. Sometimes there is uncertainty as to why government chooses to present some things in the way they do and the inferences drawn. There's no downplaying of Covid but considered responses and proportionate measures put in place. The public don't have that benefit. But regards the poster he's made it clear as to why he has a vested interest in schools remaining open. He can see that's under threat and is clearly really worried. I think it was you the other who was questioning why restaurants aren't open - a point I agree with BTW - so we all have our issues that grate.
