I haven't been a boy for a long time and in the past I have voted Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, Yorkshire party. BUT never mind that - I asked a question which has not been answered.
https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/local-news/yorkshire-may-take-londons-covid-19536448 It's grim down south.
Lots of stats statiting that last December was the highest on record for number of beds taken. Loads on search engines about that. Not much in way of comparisons between the two years as yet. Found this but not happy about the source and not willing to say how valid the data is, although there are a lot of stats in it rather than just opinions, but having said that it is the Mail. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9043583/NHS-data-suggests-hospitals-England-December.html
I feel your pain, because one of the things they don’t make clear is which “settings” are responsible for the majority of infections. Some things we are allowed to do whilst others are banned. Yet I haven’t seen much in the way of supporting data. If you have COVID-19, you can spread it to others (even if you don’t have symptoms). So, it is important that those individuals are identified and that they isolate.
My working theory is that by the time they’re a confirmed case it’s too late and they’ve already passed it on on average to more than one person, meaning it will never go away if people are just isolating after a confirmed case. Combine that with the people unable to isolate due to the pathetic SSP in this country and also combined with those selfish pricks that could isolate but refuse to do so.
It won’t say COVID-19 on the death certificate though. That (more accurate) mortality data takes a bit longer to publish. The 28 day rule is for the purposes of expediency. How else would you suggest they approach this?
Well I'm lucky enough to be in a tier 2 area and have been out to eat with my wife and daughter today (although York's numbers are rising massively and this tier will be short lived). But my wife's a headteacher and she definitely doesn't want schools to close based on the impact that will have on her children, and my 8 year old certainly doesn't want her school to shut. Clearly if we want infection rates to drop significantly they do need to close. But it would need to be a proportionate decision based on what still remains a low risk illness for the vast majority of the population and, more crucially hospitalisation rates. I have no doubt if the NHS is at risk of being overwhelmed schools will rightly be closed. Anyway, as per my original post everyone really needs to take a pause before posting and support each other at this horrible, horrible time.
In theory, you can transmit the disease without even having it, if you transfer the virus particles from one surface to another (that someone else then touches).
The number of times the Government have ignored the advice of the specialists over testing, discharges from hospitals to Care homes, not closing Schools down soon enough and the delay in calling for the first lockdown. Plus the decision to allow families to meet up on Christmas Day and basically by putting the economy first, they have put the NHS at risk of meltdown with talk of erecting tents in hospital grounds to deal with the overspill. Because the front line are losing nurses because of poor pay and working conditions, patients with other life affecting conditions re- Parkinson's, Liver disease, Cancer, Motor Neurone disease are not being treated and appointments for hip and knee replacements are being delayed all over the length and breadth of the UK. https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/ne...ovid-decision-disaster-waiting-happen-3016413
Number of covid cases in mid-Yorkshire hospitals - Deswbury/Wakefield/Pontefract are down on last week. It’s not the same everywhere, just that everyone is freaking out because it’s London, back in November when cases were 3 times higher in Wakefield but London was ticketyboo didn’t hear much call for a National lockdown then.
You say scaremongering, but hospitals cancelling non elective surgery during the first wave to cope with Covid wasn't because they had enough beds, doctors and nurses. That was substantially more overwhelmed than for that time of year. And that was despite the 'advantages' of having restrictions on movement which reduced the usual flow of patients on a day to day basis from road traffic accidents etc.
You're embarrassing, you Tory cnt. You're literally sweeping deaths under the carpet. Thousands of people die? Fck them. Wish a happy birthday or a few lads take the knee? HOW DARE THEY. Scum.
I was amazed his second positive test about 7 months after the first didn’t get more coverage when he’d tested negative loads of times in between.
97% of those who die are over 80 and have co-morbidities - and I'm not making light of any deaths, they are all personal losses, but let's put things in perspective without calling names. It's chilly up here on my high horse.
