Is our record on Tuesday night games this season. The first night game a 4-0 win and arguably the best performance of the season at Rochdale is really the only positive from evening games this season, since that day 3 draws and 2 defeats. Its frustration how we play some unbelievable football at times on a Saturday afternoon but we cant replicate it on evenings (Rochdale aside). Hopefully were saving these performances for the final 2 night games of this season, in Sunderland and Donny. Id take a point against Sunderland if I'm honest.
Id noticed that we seem to be underperforming on the midweek games - not only results but also performances are well below Saturdays Its a bit concerning and wonder what the reason is?
Our style of play probably takes more recovering from than that of others. We clearly ran out of steam last night.
More worried about Donny than Sunderland if I'm honest but I'm not sure wed have beaten Burton if we'd played it on the scheduled Saturday .
Perhaps Stendel should try David Wagner's approach when he was at Huddersfield. He would have the team train at the times they play matches, so for weeknight matches they would train from 7:00pm onward. This allegedly didn't go down too well with James Vaughan at the time who's agent contacted the club and requested training times be moved because his client kept getting stuck in rush hour traffic!
