    I think we will bring in the 6 players we've quoted, I just don't think it'll be as instant as many would like.

    We are light, particularly up front, the club knows this, and they are trying to address it I'm sure.

    We need a minimum of 6 players I'd say before the end of pre season. Thinner than A Spice Girls singing voice.

    I like this new format of the week. I now go out every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening, because they are all at the end of the week and I get "that Friday feeling" every day except one. Now I can finally tell you why I don't like Mondays.

    What does everyone classify as a squad that isn't weak numerically? 2 for each position?

    If that's your thinking, currently we have

    2 goalkeepers (or 3 if you count Walton) ✅
    4 centre backs ✅
    3 full-backs - 1 more needed
    5 central midfielders ✅
    3 wingers - 1 more needed
    3 strikers - 1 more needed theoretically, but we really need 2

    So on that basis we're about 4 players away, with ages to go until the end of August. We may well add a few more on top of that as cover. It's certainly not a complete squad, but it's not miles away

    I would like to see 2 More Strikers, and 2 that can fit the wing back / wide mid / winger category and a holding midfielder who can work off the ball and tackle (Maybe the EFC lad fits the latter)

    We definitely need a defensive midfielder as Sessi is untried and has been unconvincing so far. Better cover out wide on both flanks so two leftsided and 2 right sided players and 2 forwards. I'd also move Townsend out and promote Walton. Add one more when if Yiadom goes.

    Everyone seems to have forgotten Hedges though.

    Disagree, I think two more strikers & we are good to go plus thats gives us a bit of leeway between now & the end of the window if Hecky feels we need any more

    Genuine question, why dont people cut Townsend a bit of slack, he is still learning his trade.

    Hedges looked ok in the Guisley friendly and yes i missed him off. Good spot. However i still think we need min 4 additions.

    Townsend has looked far from convincing in the few appearances he has had and thats what people probably remember. Unless he has a proper run in the team we will never really know and if davies is fit he is unlikely to get that run of games.
    Having said that, davies is prone to a ricket or 4.

    I have nothing against him personally though he has looked poor in all the games I've seen him play.

    The point, as I see it is that he will never be good enough to challenge Davies, so we may as well use Walton as an understudy rather than spend money on him.

    It'd be daft to go forward with a squad this thin and no defensive / central midfield cover.

    How do you know for certain that he will never be good enough to challenge Davies ? I personally have not seen enough of him to judge but you may have seen a lot more of him than me & I respect your opinion.
