We haven't a foooking chance of creating a prosperous society around here.
    A shameful disgrace.

    Sacking off the Tories forever.

Getting it into every parents head that learning is a good thing.

Why haven't we got a chance of creating a prosperous society ? Defeatist attitude will get us nowhere. Stop blaming others for individual failures. Its always someone else's fault . I would say get yourself educated then work hard and you should be ok .

    Letter from Darton.....
I suggest abolishing the ability to pay for your child's education.
And coupling with a bird (sorry - partner) who has more brain cells than you.
And finally weeding out those headmasters more obsessed with watching animals (amongst other things) copulate, rather than advancing your own child's education.

I suggest folk spend less time complaining about there being no jobs for unskilled work and more time gaining skills.

All government officials who put tuition fees in place - from both parties - have had a nice free university education.

These kids are leaving with debts that are akin to a small mortgage - they'll never be able to afford mortgages themselves - impacts on housing market which impacts on economy.

How many of these debts are actually paid back as well? We were first to gain a loan back in 91 - some of my friends have had these debts wiped as they haven't earned above the threshold to repay

This dosent explain why Barnsley is bottom of the league in England with regard to university education.

That's not strictly correct. My £30,000.00 student loan has absolutely no bearing on my ability to get a residential mortgage. I pay the loan back at a phenomenally low rate each month out of my salary.

Because we are near the top of the league for economic and social deprivation.

It's taken into account by mortgage providers when they assess your income and therefore impacts.

I'm from Barnsley and attained two Masters degrees; last one in my 50s. Had excellent jobs, travelled the world (including Fife), but my family supported my ambitions. Without that, are the kids waiting for Corbyn to re-open the coal mines?

Fair enough but you still have to pay it - it's still another expense which you have to take into account. It's still an outgoing Certainly affected my step daughters attempts

Sorry my step daughter would struggle so I do have some knowledge - still counts as an outgoing that people have to afford - plenty of others out there in the same position. It is now considered as part of your mortgage application

You do realise Corbyn has had no imput into any of the Government policies that have caused this problem ? Dont you ? He wants to go back to what YOU had, free University education, or maybe that is your point, you dont want everyone else to have what you already had !!
