Sunderland worrying about losing their star striker, and Lowe from Pompey linked with a move away. Sunderland interested but also championship clubs in. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/lowe-from-portsmouth.1457059/ Losing Potts to Preston doesn't compare with Pompey possibly losing a player to a promotion rival.
He didnt have to go noboby forced him out so we have to move on .Bradshaw went we got Woodrow who is miles better so we do the same with Potts
Wait till pinnock and moore go and we bring in a few league two, scottish and non league players to replace them. Then talk about perspective....
Yeah a Pompey mate said the same about lowe but they won’t sell until they have a replacement signed up. Early days I’m not fretting yet but not the best PR from the club.
Pompey and Sunderland haven't sold anyone yet and may get a replacement in before they do, if they do.
Sunderland have the highest budget in the league. Sunderland also have a wage bill ten times higher than anyone else in the league. They lost one younger in the summer to swansea because of money. Theyve offered maja peanuts (even by bfc standards) to resign a contract. Hes said no Likelyhood is he is on the way in january or face a tribunal.
But Pinnock came from non league, Potts, who everyone is kicking off about us selling, came from League 2, and Lindsay who many say is one of our top players came from Scotland. Surely it's about the quality of the player, not where they come from?
Of course it is, the problem will likely be with our recruitment policy that the players coming in are often slow to start when they make the step up.
Thats my point. They aren't just going to walk into 1st team and get us promotion are they. They need to settle in and adjust to the league. Plus we have had just as many duffers as decent signings from them leagues. Im just dissapointment the club was sold on crynes model of sell ur best players and make a profit rather than investment and get established in a higher league. Its the fans who loose out.
P There's no guarantee a player who joins from any level will hit the ground running. We've had just as many if not more from better placed teams who have been complete failures.
The Portsmouth lad is all over the Internet. Lots of championship clubs in for him. I think it's safe to say he'll be off in this window.
Oh they may well do, time will tell. Be a interesting month let's hope it doesn't impact on the field too much.
Think they will cash in of he doesn't sign the deadline is apparently today. Pompey will get over 3million for lowe loads of championship teams interested.
