    Great.

If players with potential have a choice of clubs a la Bradshaw etc I'd bet they would break their necks to sign for us knowing we don't tolerate someone who turns their head at a ( choose what we think) potential big club.

Whilst under contract and to a play off rival, I'd wave him off if it was to the Premier League. They will not be there in the near future.

I'd be as incensed as anyone if it happened but if it was a promise by the club I wouldn't want them to start backtracking now and tarnish our reputation that helped bring these players in the first place ,
It would also tarnish us in the loan market and affect loans like the Morsy and Armstrong.

Some very strange opinions on this thread. I sincerely hope the Club don't do some of the things being suggested.

No, we don't. We have £10m coming into the club, over a 4 year period.

I believe the decision to sell is wrong. Last season we did well reasonably well financially with the extra income from the jpt, play off semi and play off final. Season ticket sales were decent. We are told that this season revenue would increase by 6 million as a consequence of being in the championship. Further there is the Stones money (even if only 50% of this goes back into the club then it's not bad.) We are currently exceeding expectations in the league. If this continues then revenue will increase as the season goes on (more customers through the door). And what if we actually managed a play off spot?: more money. Did we really have to sell him? Yes it's all iffs and buts but i believe the gamble of not selling him now would have been worth the loss of money come the end of the season: as stated above we are not paupers. i can perfectly understand people's frustration with the club. However let's hope we continue to push on and a worthy successor comes to the fore.

I'm sure that will be more than covered by losses in previous seasons.

And the fact that money is paid across the term of a players contract. So assuming we got 10m from stones and Mawson we've only likely seen 2.5m of it to date.

If Sheffield Wednesday have offered Sam winnall 18k a week before we allowed them to speak to him then we should have refused to do any business with them and reported them to the fa. They would have a transfer embargo placed on them then.
