A HUGE THANK YOU to Patrick Cryne

I've been fairly critical of Patrick over the years - principally because he didn't sell the club - like he said he was going to do - in the first few years after he bought it.

Consequently Barnsley Football Club hasn't moved forward under his stewardship - and that's all down to Patrick hadn't enough money to push things forward like I think he would have hoped.
That's no fault of his own.

He saved the club from administration - which we will be forever grateful for.
And now - he's linked us up to a group of owners that hopefully will see Barnsley finally reach its potential.

Same here.

I can't question his love or commitment to the club.

I can't question that he made decisions that he felt were in the best interests of the club.

I may not agree with everything he has done but i do believe he felt his decisions were for the greater good.

well done for getting this over the line.

Especially under the dreadful circumstances you have to contend with.

Now's the time to sit back and enjoy time with family and friends.

I truly hope you do get to see where as long as possible where this leads us to.

It can't be easy in your position to let go of something so close to your heart.

Couldn’t take us forward ?
We were near bottom of league one with spivs and speculators circling round the Doyle family hoping for a feeding frenzy and you don’t think he’s taken us forward?
If he’d spent every penny he’d got you wouldn’t have been satisfied imo.
He’s just secured us a multi millionaire consortium. Is that not an achievement ?
Anybody would think reading your posts that Billionaires were queuing up to buy us and Patrick was fighting them off.

What relevance are they? You stated that he ought to give thanks to Cryne for the takeover as it is an “achievement”. He’s done that.

I didn’t say he should give thanks nor did question the over the line quote from nez .
As for relevance of his other posts I noticed you held Tyrone’s feet to the fire on his past quotes whenever you engaged him.

 

Not every time. And only when he wanted to claim he didn’t say what he said.

Course it’s relevant you’ve just said I shouldn’t be commenting on nudges past posts but it’s ok for you to on someone else’s.
I commented on his line of he couldn’t take us forward and it’s not his fault .not the over the line post of nez’s so tbh I think it’s you who hasn’t read the posts.

As you well know nudge has plenty of form criticising Patrick so we have the right to take him on when he in my view is being patronising and I don’t need your permission.
