Can see it happening. Will Smith and Dylan Mottley-Henry starting for the under 23's today against Sunderland. Thought they would have been in the squad for tonight.
Perhaps, or just speculating here, maybe he's decided to go with wingbacks and feels we have sufficient cover without DMH....
He's had the lads play 45 minutes and then swap pretty much the entire team at half-time. I think he'll want to see some 90-minute performances now and see how they deal with that. We might be seeing a glimpse of what might closely resemble his preferred starting 11.
I remember Hecky saying something about that last year when we won a friendly at Rochdale. There just aren't enough pre season games for a manager to see everybody and try every possible formation, and its time we went with our stronger squads now especially in these two home games.
