He’s played over 150 games for us in two spells, scored some fantastic goals, and produced moments of pure magic, he’s a BFC Legend in my opinion.
And he said something that I’ve never heard from a player when talking about being stuck out of the team. “We get paid more than enough to deal with these situations.” Hes humble, mature, I want him here for the rest of his career.
It will be a disgrace if he isn't offered a new contract. He's an inspiration, a true legend, and a motivator of others. I hope he's here for many years to come in some capacity.
Exactly the same when my son was mascot last year. Needs to be kept around the club in one capacity or another in years to come. Doesn’t look like he’s 30 though. Doesn’t seem all that long that we took him on loan from Liverpool as a youth.
Think im right in saying we have year option on his contract. Im not sure the club will take that up though.
It was touch and go that he was even offered a contract after promotion as the system said he woudl no longer be effective at Championship level. I suppose that that has largely been right but liek a lot of things, you can't judge everything on cold hard figures. Sometimes emotion and gut feeling has to come into it. Still, cost of everything, value of nowt...
I agree. I've been supporting the club for 58 years now and have my own legend list. It' not a long one but Adam is most cetainly on it. His effort, commitment to our club is a wonderful thing to see these days. His contribution on the field has been superb and for me he can still do it. .....even in this division. His presence on the pitch both inspires our team and it does affect the opposition. Top top top lad.
I agree with everything what has been said about the bloke , love the guy . There have been plenty willing to write him off , not for me , if we had eleven Adam Hammells turning out for us , we wouldn"t be in the mess we are in , he loves the club & wears the shirt with pride , like us , it matters to him , he cares
