A Barnsley supporting colleague went to the local Aldi here at Barugh Green in his Lunch Break and saw Adam Hammill he got a picture with him and had a quick chat. He asked why he did not re-sign for us his reply( yes I know that this second hand information) was that Stendell came to his house (as reported in the Chron) and a contract was drawn up but not signed. He was later informed by the club that the Americans had said no when the contract was put to them and that they only wanted to sign players that they could sell for a profit.

How can they grow the club which I interpret as getting promoted eventually to the premier league if you don't have experienced players? or is this how they are going to make themselves money? BFC would have to be a premier league side in order for them to market them in the far east and other potential markets.
Every promotion side I have seen starting with the 1978/79 Clarke squad was a blend of youth and experience and Ronnie "The King" Glavin would never have been signed under current policy.

I don't think a contract would be drawn up without the boards permission.

It's common knowledge that Stendel isn't involved in identifying signings but plays a key role in drawing up contracts. He's also responsible for all IT purchases.

‘When the contract was put to the Americans?’

    Behave.

No contract would have been drawn up, or even considered, without the consent of those in charge.

I’d have liked Hammill to stay. He didnt. They chose to let him go.

Move on folks, it’s not changing.

We know why the owners are here. It’s not because Chien Lee has a penchant for a decent pork pie... It’s business to them - we have to accept that. They want success but whilst making a steady profit and increasing the value of the club. They won’t have a fire sale and let everyone go again, it devalues the club. Don’t though be surprised if bids are accepted for players such as Moore and Potts in January, if it isn’t looking certain we’ll go up. The club has to tick over and fund itself.

My auntie's brother's cousin saw Winkler in Freddies in Wakefield and he said that this is complete bollocks and that in fact Hammill wrote up his own contract asking for £400,000 per week but it got lost in the post on the way to America and St Mirren offered him more so he went there.

To be fair it doesn't say who drew up the contract. It might have been Hammill's representatives

To be fair, there’s a lot to call him out on for the OP, but that isn’t one of them.

Billy Beane isn’t actually a director, but there’s Paul Conway, Grace Hung, Chien Lee, Neerav Parekh and Dickson Lee.

Paul Conway, Chien Lee and Dickson Lee are all American Citizens and residents. Grace Hung is Chinese and Neerav is Indian.

I once went out with this really fit girl. She was a foot taller than me & drop dead gorgeous. She ended up moving back overseas (Poland). I really, really missed her & wanted her to return. Adam came back once, but I think a third coming is unlikely. Better to move on. Forget him & look at Brad Potts.

Let's be fair, he cut no ice at Championship level. He got no joy against Newcastle, had tantrums when he was subbed, and was on the back foot from thereon. Great, great memories for us fans and himself, but League One has evolved, he is 30 and we no longer have the Hourihane's, Scowens or Brownhills that provided a solid platform from which we could indulge his mercurial talents.

Didn't GG say recently that hammill wouldn't play for us whilever Stendel is in charge? Could be wrong but I seem to remember Gally mentioning it

Not true. I'm not calling you a liar, he may well have told you that but i guarantee you its not true. Mr. Conway would have signed hammill up of the club felt he could make a difference.
