I bet she'd be good at it though. I've never mentioned that I think God is a DJ firstly and secondly, a fit blonde haired Swedish one at that, did I?
It's not unusual for a thread to be hijacked and veer off on a totally obscure tangent. But you, old mate, have taken that to an entirely different level.
You know that game v york. Which if we had lost would have lead to johnson getting the sack. The break up of the squad in the january. The relegation of the club in may. Hammill playing that game brought back some positivity. Some belief we could win. And weve developed from that to where we are now A stronger better team through out.
It was that game, that was the catalyst and Hammill was the one who ignited it (terrible analogy, you add a catalyst and ignite a touchpaper, but you get it). We were a goal down, Hammill was playing his first proper game of football in months and he made it his mission to drag us back into it and win it even if it killed him. He was dead on his feet by the end, actually, he was dead off his feet, he literally fell to the floor, he used every ounce of his own energy and skill to get us those 2 goals to win the game for us, for the fans. No one can see a performance like that and what it achieves without getting something from it, the other players could see, here is a talisman and if we try like that then we too can achieve.
I don't think we watch the same Adam Hammill. I like all of Mawson, Winnall & Watkins but to say any of them have been anywhere near as important as Hammill is nothing short of ridiculous. It's only been the last 2 months that Mawson's managed to get the individual errors out of his game. Hourihane I'll give you. He's been outstanding but no one else has come anywhere near to having the impact Hammill has.
