Putting sentiment aside is he good enough at this level anymore?

I get criticised often for my analysis of him,but I would say no. Football at the higher levels has changed and his game doesn't suit it. He has done well for the club but it's time to move on.

I'd love to say yes, but he has more poor games then he does good game. His crossing is shocking recently. I do think we should keep him, but as a squad player. Love him as a player, but Hedges looked brilliant when he came on imo, so I'd definitely start him over Hammill for the next few games.

Said it since the start of last season that he's nowhere close to being good enough. Everything has to be about him. I get the feeling he's rather lose 3-1 with him scoring a screamer than us win 1-0 without him scoring.

Excellent league one player. Passenger at championship level. An unfit Lloyd Isgrove scored more goals on his first start of the season than Hammill has in forteen months. Whoever picked him as MOTM today must have been on the festive mulled wine.

I don't think he will be first choice when Izzy is fit again.
Think Hammill may be suspended for Reading picking up 5 yellows.

Thing is, he's often double, triple marked. As soon as he went off, the Leeds defenders afforded Hedges the freedom of Oakwell.
I think I'd prefer Isgrove to Hammill if I'm honest, but our other players do not take advantage of the fact that Hammill often occupies 2 defenders just by being on the pitch.

Yes, that was his 5th today and the cut off point is the 30th November so he'll be banned for Reading.

If he's not then I pity the rest of them. One of our better performers this season.

He’s good enough, he’s just not the player he was first time round.

He’s not quick enough to be the winger he wants to be, but every side double and treble up on him on reputation.

I love Adam and he loves our Club.
    He's a loyal servant.
    Today wasn't his day.
    Why slag him off?

I was sitting in East Stand Lower and he ran his scks off to try and create something.

He could have gone to Bristol City with Vern Troyer but chose to stay with us.

Also, a good player to have in the squad.

If he's not playing, he's providing cover same as the rest.

Yes. His creativity and work rate is top notch.

It's always interesting to see (not you Silkstone) how folks are poised waiting for a poor performance to swoop in and claim it gives credence to their pre conceived ideas.
