Nooooo. Anything but that. Having to speak with forked tongue about how great they are, and talking up that unbearable ***** Ferguson. I wish there were a place for him with us. I want him to stay forever in some capacity.
Struggle to see it, don't see how he gets into the current set up. And can't see his contract being extended. If our fate was sealed either way maybe they would give him a last appearance.
? Ridiculous post. We had 19 shots last night, almost twice as many as Cardiff. We forced three times as many corners, had over 60% of the ball. We are massively more creative under Morais than we were under Heckingbottom. To be fair having an effective centre forward helps. I love Adam Hammill, I’ll never forget his Wembley goals and how great he was in the promotion season. He was also great towards the end of his first spell here. But he’s not done it in the championship for the last two seasons. As I say I don’t agree we play with ‘zero creativity’ now - but we weren’t particularly creative for the majority of this season and he’s played in a lot of that. I can’t fault his desire or effort. He runs all day. But he’s created little, scored none, and in the current squad the head coach sees that our best formation is a 4-3-3, which isn’t massively conducive to wingers. I am not against him having the odd run from the bench to run at a tired defence, I also think he provides an older head and could be good around the squad so long as he doesn’t start sulking. I’ve no reason to think he would. But as much affection as I have for him he doesn’t get in our team on merit at the moment, and if we survive, which I think we will, he might well not be around next season.
I really don’t agree. Didn’t he get hooked at HT along with Isgrove after being completely ineffective?
I like Adam, but he isn't really effective at this level. I hope he gets a run out or two at some point, but I can't say he would start on merit at the moment. Think he will be playing in L1 next season. He'll do a great job for a team pushing for promotion, he's still got a couple of seasons in him at that level.
We have been much more creative without him and Isgrove. We are picking up more points, from creating more chances. Staying sentimental would have relegated us. The changes made have done us good.
I watched the JPT final, and playoff semis yesterday afternoon. It was fantastic watching those lads but very sad comparing that to now. All those fine young players and manager pulling together and giving us a fantastic, unforgettable second half to a season, mostly now gone to play elsewhere. Hamill looked so fresh and full of tricks. There was an audacious bit of skill by the corner flag when he back heeled a ball around the full back and spun away to meet it - the co commentator was drooling! Also the fantastic goals in that game and the play off final. For his moments of sheer skill and entertainment, Hamill is one of my favourite ever reds flair players, but at this level he looks spent. If we do go down I'd love to think he could get back to that type of form, or at least something like.
Good point, I think that's what we need to do! Let's get relegated so we can watch Hammill tear up league one again I'd love him to stay here forever, but I don't think JoMo will feel that way unfortunately.
No it was around the hour as I remember when he came off, for Potts I believe. He was ineffective though which he has been since we came back up in reality.
