Nowt better to do on a Tuesday night so thought I'd pop along to watch my local team play Salford City in their shiny new stadium. They play in the National League North (6th tier). An entertaining 3-3 draw with Mike Phenix scoring a cracking late goal for the visitors, only for the home side to equalise in Fergie time. I know that ticket prices can be an emotive subject on here, so for comparison's sake, the walk up price for a seat is £15 (£12 for 'members') and £12 (£10) to stand up. Makes my season ticket look good value.
I believe all the local teams have got a bit of a thing about Flyde having a load of cash and buying their way up the leagues.
Well they seem to have had a large investment from a local businessman. A good crowd of 1800+ is probably as good as Blackpool or Fleetwood get.
Steady game. Didn't do much wrong - found his level. Seems to be keeping Stephen Crainey out of the side.
