Usually a very well spoken and informed caller on football heaven

However, later nights call was rather strange. He singled out potts as outstanding player on Tuesday

Nice bloke is Alan, used to talk to him regularly when I worked in Castleford about 4 years ago.

I personally didn't think Potts was particularly bad the other night. I thought he was very good in possession. I wouldn't have singled him out for praise mind.

    Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Just goes to show how you can watch the same game and have completely opposite view of it ,I thought Potts was dreadful and fully expected him to off at half time , a display akin to Elders last season at Villa

To me he was very slow and kept getting in the way of other players. I sure there's a player in him he just needs to bed in then we will see a good player

For me he's good with the ball, poor without it. Like all the midfield though he needs to be more aggressive.

I thought when Bird came on for Moncur he was better as he had fewer defensive duties

I felt his work rate left a little to be desired, which I think could be down to fitness. I don't think he had a big pre-season at Blackpool. They played just 5 games against all non league opposition. But I did think he was handy in possession, if not a bit sluggish out of it.
