Looks as though he's getting the bullet at Everton in favour of Silva. Any takers?

Aye, there will be plenty of clubs queuing up to sign him. Unfortunately we’ve got absolutely no chance of securing his services.

The new Everton owner is trigger happy. Big Sam took a poor squad of players with the couple of hundred million Koeman wasted on them, from a relegation fight they could have been drawn into, to a respectable position just outside the Europa League places.

Out of our price range, but another club he's done well at.

yes I'd be ok with that.
He may be one of the dinosaurs nowadays but his list of contacts must be phenomenal.
Trouble is he wouldn't want to drop down to the 3rd Div for a scrap. He's probably far too Wensdeh for that.

I get that the fans don’t like his style of football but he’s taken them from being relegation strugglers at the start of the season to finishing 8th. The best they could realistically finish is 7th as the top 6 are on another level so I think he’s done well.

I imagine he’ll get a job when one of the premier league teams are struggling around November time and he will go in and keep them up.

I'm up for Big Sam. Trouble is, we couldn't afford his payoffs!

It's a great way to make a living though. Work from October / November through to May being very handsomely paid then get paid off and take the Summer and Autumn off.

Seriously though Big Sam (and little Sam) do a good job everywhere they go but they would be way out of our reach financially.

Well this one is being quoted as £6 million. Nice work if you can get it. Everton also said to be willing to go to £12 million to buy Silva’s contract out. Paper talk, perhaps, but if true, football as we know it really is ruined. We can’t compete, but do we want to?

He was on something like hundred grand a week plus bonuses at Everton. Even if he halfed his six million a year salary he's used to, it would still swallow up our budget.

It annoys me when the likes of Allardyce get labelled 'dinosaurs' and criticised for not playing the Barca way or whatever. He has had a phenomenal career and there's always more than one way to win a game of football. His style of play has kept Everton in the Premier League to once again get richer and richer. Look at how well Stoke and West Brom have done since moving forward from the 'dinosaur football' of Tony Pulis. Both down whilst trying to play good football. I realise that year upon year of watching football considered top be from the dark ages might become boring, but my word, how many teams who have toppled out of the top flight would have loved to have had the likes of Big Sam ensuring them survival.

You have to wonder what, exactly the Everton board thought they were getting when they appointed Allardyce. Is it a surprise that his style of football is poor? Nevertheless I guess both sides have got what they wanted. Safety for Everton and a big, fat payoff for Sam.

Everton will now be paying Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce and their new managers wages simultaneously next season, they still have a year of each of those, in fact RK is getting paid 15% of the wage he was on at Everton by Holland as he doesn't care as he still gets paid by them every week

    Very harsh.

He didn’t take over until Christmas time & he got the job because the last manager wasn’t looking like he could get them in the play offs which Pulis went in & did.

I’d be surprised if the club had higher expectations this season
