    From their forum:

    I'm not just saying this

    Like mick so often does.

But I said before, during and after the game that they're a Bl00dy good side in my opinion.

I imagine that away from home their quick passing and break forward style of football is very effective scoring wise. A case of replacing the 3 main players they've lost, not losing Watkins and adding 1 or 2 gooduns ans they would be my dark horse for next season.

I also said during the game that Lawrence would be the perfect player for them. Because they break so quickly but sometimes slow it down at the vital stage rather than just shooting.

Good side though. For me, one of the best footballing sides in the league along with the Geordies, Brighton and Fulham.

From anyone who was at the game, their opinions are largely complimentary and the majority are of the opinion that they didn't deserve anything out of the game, but poor finishing let us down. Pretty much the same as how I saw it.

An Ipswich fan phoned into Talk Sport last night and was very complimentary about us.

That's the key part for me. We get the ball into the final third really quickly and then stop dead. With the goal gaping we have started to look for a sideways pass instead of a shot. Time to either get Marley up front instead of the goal shy Armstrong or find a 17 year old in the academy and give him a go

Definitely. I thought Hecky got the substitution right yesterday in bringing Williams on for Armstrong, but for me we should have the put Watkins up front to give Bradshaw some support, and allow Williams to get down the flank against tiring fullbacks, instead of Williams behind Bradshaw. I suppose we were 1-0 up at the time, but I wouldn't say that we were defending a lead.

Out of the 11 that started yesterday how many will still be here next season, never mind about the out of contract and loans. Our own lads that have caught the eye,. How many will be allowed to leave?.
.Hecky was asked by Giddings on Thursday about selling players in the summer... His answer was .." Not until we have replacements in" so there you go,

Next season side, I think will be unrecognisable... could be as little as 3 players that started yesterday still here... Davies Hammell Bradshaw.... not saying all of Roberts, McDonald, Yaidom will go, but they all have or are catching the eye.
But id expect at least one.. to be allowed to leave with the right offer.

Going to be one hell of a summer...

Think what we are lacking upfront is a genuine goal poacher, someone with the knack of being in the right place at the right time. Stuff like looking for rebounds , slight hesitation in defenders n stuff.
Although it also has to be said we wasted a helluva lot of dead ball opportunities too.

    Davies

    Yiadom - Roberts - MacDonald - ?

    ? - Mowatt - ? - ?

    Bradshaw - ?

I think Watkins, Williams and scowen will leave when their contracts end and hammill will be sold to the lowest bidder after a souring of relationships.

Do you think we'd offload Williams or that he'd ask to leave?
We rebuilt his career when it was suggested we should pay his contract up and claim off FA insurance when it looked like he was finished as a player.
He owes us so should be for us to decide if he fits in with next seasons plan.

Thought Hammill worked his nuts off yesterday, going forward and tracking back, if he keeps that up there would be no problems at all

I think we will offload him. We have the option of an extension so he can't walk away anyway but i don't think hecky has much faith in him because he is hardly even on the bench these days and even when Kent was not performing he wasn't brought in. And when he was played he was dropped again

I agree with that. Credit to the club for sticking by him, but his chance to shine will likely be with a League One club next season.

This bit can be very true of us.

One passage of play was brilliant yesterday though, half a dozen passes from back to front ended with hammill crossing deep to James whose miss hit shot bounced to Armstrong who headed over.

It doesn't help though when the away team commits cynical little fouls all around the box.

It is only a guess. I hope it isn't true but i imagine if a bid came in we may well accept it
