Won't feature for the next 3 games despite scans coming back all clear. Lack of match fitness or is Hecky proving a point with him?

I'd imagine he's lacking some match practice. We've no real need to rush him back as we've got sufficient cover.

The stress fracture has cleared but he’ll need strengthening work before risking playing you’d imagine, in case of reoccurrence.

I would think he’s a little out of shape too as he’s likely to have been quite inactive to allow himself to heal, just some swimming pool work and lighter stuff. Guessing he won’t have gained too much weight, he’s a good pro. But he will have lost some leg definition etc. Three weeks to get reasonably fit seems about right. He’ll not be ready for 90 minutes then either i wouldn’t think.

But do we know if he has sat down and had a heart to heart with the club.? Has he decided to stay ? or is he looking to the January window ? These are important points I think.

I think its pretty obvious he will be leaving in January, Swansea being the most likely destination.

Either way it's in his best interests to play well. If he plays like he did v Rotherham then he can kiss his move goodbye

Much as I dislike the barbs aimed at those who have been plugging the gap at left back I'd love to see a fit and motivated Yiadom back in the team asap.

Pearson has done well stepping up and stepping in at LB. He'll hopefully keep improving. Doubt Hecky wanted him to step up from L2 straight into a new defence against championship attacks playing twice weekly. Huge ask. But will have done him well in long run.

Fryers and Yiadom fighting fit will be a huge asset in my opinion. By end of last season Yids was without doubt a top top championship full back.

Fryers, Macdonald, Lindsey and Yiadom would be a quality back 4. As much as I think McCarthy has also done brilliantly I think he's far better bombing on than defending just now. Another who like Pearson will hopefully just keep on improving through the year.

Exciting whichever 4 Hecky goes with. Options or layering. Whatever they call it these days.

Important points for Hecky and the club. Not for us.
