Sounds like a bad injury for Adam Jackson. Just when players get themselves established this happens. Bad luck but a chance for Angus, and Ethan Pinnock when fit, to step up.

Really bad news for the lad. I think he's been our most improved player this season.

Show you how good the squad is in certain areas when we can bring in players of Macdonalds standard

He's definitely been the surprise stand out player this year for me. Feel really sorry for the lad, but he's young so hopefully come back stronger.

Angus has his chance now, and if he doesn't take it then hopefully Ethan Pinnock will be pushing him for his place.

For once we have a bit of squad depth.

He's been a revelation this season, and banged a couple of goals in too. Bad luck lad, hope to see you back soon.

He was the whipping boy for some on here and on social media. Very unfairly big loss for us.

Hope he recovers soon. Time for Angus to pick up where he was last season.
Hope Pinnock is coming along too, as he's our only cover then I guess...

Whilst it’s a blow, it’s the one area we’re very strong in. I don’t think playing any of the 4 centre backs really weaken us.

Not sure i've ever heard of a posterior cruciate ligament. I'm guessing it will keep him out for most of the season?

It's a tough one to pick up, unlike the anterior cruciate ligament injuries which are horribly common (I did mine, it hurts) It's a little less common. Depending on severity and if it can be nursed and physioed you're looking at 2-4 months. If it's a bad one you're looking closer to 8-12 months with a full course of intensive rehab.

Huge shame for Jackson, he's been very good this season. Just hope for a speedy recovery.

I presume he did this during the Hull game. Let's hope that the injury was not made worse by not taking him off immediately.

Heinz Muller suffered a longer absence because he played on with an injury during a game.

And me ... slated in his first few games. He's taken the critiscism on board and gone from strength to strength - great partnership with Lindsay

    Whipping boy LOL

People are allowed not to think like you you know. Some folk rate him, others don’t.

I’m in the latter camp but I’m gutted for the lad himself. Awful injury

**** me, who's he going to grab by the neck in this derby?

Feel for Jackson, he was beginning to make a good partnership with Lindsay. I worry for Angus without Marc Roberts at the side of him.

We've had some rotten luck with injuries this season already. How about Cavare?

This in spades. Mac isn't half as good without Robbo nursing him.

How long was Jackson’s original deal? 2 or 3 years? Either way I’d suggest sorting him a new contract out should be a priority

First 12 games of last season we conceded 20 goals. Some of those games included Mawson. This year it's 18 in 12, for my money our defence is no better or worse than it was last year.

In the same period last year we scored 23 this time we have managed 15. I think that is the going to be the big difference. Last season we got away with being poor at the back because we could out score teams. This season I feel that will not be the case, the Hull game being a case in point.

Misleading stat, you're including 4 defenders and a goalkeeper. You would have to analyse how many goals came from errors from goalkeeping and the full backs. We are on about the centre back pairing.
