Saturday got next doors mail delivered - yesterday 2 letters for house 3 doors up delivered here.- today have a letter each for both next doors delivered here. Should I complain - and to who?
Used to be! Best bet is to complain to your local delivery office and they should hopefully tell your postie to be a bit more careful in future. Can find it through here if you don't know it: http://www.royalmail.com/delivery-and-collection-office-finder
Just go for a little walk and meet your neighbours , it's your good deed for the day . Community spirit n'all that .
Don't worry mi owd if Labour win tomorrow the Post Office will be nationalised and the post man will not be on a zero hour contract.
Happened to us that DUS. Told they had sorting frames and the guy delivering our mail got confused with the system. Next time it happened I went to the local sorting office and complained. That's been closed so as nearest one to me is 6 miles away now I would take it up with the postie first if I were you. Other remedies I tried was to deliver the letters to the right addresses myself. On another occasion I wrote in bold black fibre tip " this letter is for 18 ******** Road. Can it pleased be delivered there and not to 58." Regarding junk mail I now write on the envelope " Unsolicited junk mail- please return to sender" and post it back. It's amazing how many firms have now taken me off their mailing lists. I now get few nuisance calls cos Ive gone ex- directory. If one does slip the net and they try to flog me anything I say " before we go any further you need to know that I am an undischarged bankrupt." Again been surprised at how quickly they have put the phone down on me.
they a they are not on a zero hour contract now, I have been a postman for the last 10 years. The only ones that have a zero hour contract are temps they take on at Christmas and any other high peak times.
aye if they do they will nationalise the Royal Mail... and also get rid of our deterrents, stop the Police from stopping terrorist, let the EU walk all over us....yup that's gonna be Utopia.
1st off, try to catch your posty and tell him, if not call the d/o and they'll flag it up, could be a different guy everyday? if it's anything like our office the staff are on their knees with the excess mail, 5-6hrs walking a day and had all weathers lately, so many cuts been made, i've just lost my duty and it either gets taken in bits by loads of others forced/bullied to work over or the management deliver it. my post came at 5-30pm last saturday by a guy who should be on holiday!
Already on a half decent screw I've already looked thinking about a career change when I get to my 40s.
