About losing Potts in January? We should offer improved terms immediately otherwise his head could be turned
Im even more terrified that Gardner will be sold from under us like Drinkwater was a few years ago. Do we have a buy clause like the one we screwed up with some less good midfielder or other last year
Its a sarky post having a pop at Potts , personally , I hope he comes good , I just love seeing people eat humble pie !
I'm much more worried about losing our head groundsman, he must be one of the best in the business, just look how good our home form is....
Someone still believes in Christmas miracles... good for you! There's more chance of Peter Sutcliffe coming good
Me too. You've got to hope that all your own players come good and that the club gets value for money.
You could well be right , but I do not know how good your memory is , but Hourihane was slagged off & so was my favourite ever player , Ronnie Glavin but convenient memory loss might apply to some
You may jest, but 5-5-0 couldn't do any worse than in the last 6 games in which we haven't scored in open play. We've managed a solitary penalty, but several of our midfield players could have taken that. We might have managed a few more clean sheets at least.
I hope Bradshaw stays he is the best striker we have here atm hope we don't sell especially to Birmingham who will be down near the bottom 3 come end of season
Agree I was joking. I expect Brum and sunderland to try and buy there way out of trouble. As for Bradshaw he is the best striker at the club, which of course is not a good reason to let him go but does sort of show up a massive problem with our squad.
I do remember, in his first season I was one of Hourihanes biggest critics. I felt that although he had ability, playing him was a hindrance to the side because we had to play 2 other midfielders which meant we had to play winnall up top alone which wasn't how to get the best from our side. Potts on the other hand had nothing a professional footballer, nevermind a championship midfielder should have. Clear as day from the first time I saw him.
Well you are fortunate to be such a good judge , however , you got it wrong with Hourihane & you never know you might be wrong about Potts as well. If you look back to my original post , I said, " I hope he improves " , I did not say he will & my judgement over the years has been wrong on a number of occasions but the one thing I will always do ,is give a player time & certainly never publicly slag a player off , so fingers crossed for all the players that have stepped up the leagues to join us this season that they improve like our previous crop did
