I'm trying to find contact details for Ian Alistair. He was interested in BFC history (he wrote Barnsley, a study in football 1959- which is on my bookshelf). Anyone know him?

Looks like his books on psychology were distributed by Karnac books. Their details can be
found under the heading " Shop" on their website toolbar. Contact them to see if they can help you.
Good luck mate. Hope you can track him down.

Wasn't that co-authored by Tim Ward's son? I bought a copy for my dad in 1981 ish. I spoke to him on the phone about the book after I'd read it, we both lived in Cambridge at the time but we never actually met. A few years later I moved to Swadlincote and met Gordon Duggins who played for us and was interviewed for the book.

Will do. The request came after meeting someone who was at the Barnsley v Enfield games in 1981. After putting him right that the Enfield goalkeeper did stray out of his box when kicking the ball from his hands (I know, I was in dead in line in the West stand), it turned out that he was friends with Ian when they were at university, but had lost touch. I promised to ask around if anyone knew him. More later ...
