That overhead kick. Terrific technique certainly, but I thought of Fallon's goal for Swansea against us in the play off final straight away. I think it may have even been at the same end.

Nice of Madrid to wear one of our old away strips for the presentation as well - white shirt with purple shorts. Similar to that when Shackell was with us. I can understand why they would want to wear their "proper" shirt to lift the trophy but it did look a bit stupid on some of them - those with purple long sleeves underneath the white shirt.

Also nice of Virgin to screen the match free to us subscribers. Enjoyed that.

Yes, soon as I saw it. A bit further out mind,

The match was on freeview. BT trying to get more subscribers by the way they hammered their coverage for next season.

Incidentally someone was telling me they've seen Rory and his wife Carly up at Cannon Hall.
They run an ice cream business " The Cowlick" and sell home made ices from a trike similar
to those Walls used to operate in the " stop me and buy one era".

They usually show up when the farm have special market days or craft/plant exhibitions.
Told he's up for a chat about his time with Barnsley. Taking his badges in the hope he can get back
    into football.

It's a tradition of theirs, they always wear white shirts when lifting the trophy.
