I don't think Halme has much to worry about, he had their multi million pound striker in his back pocket, so much that he had to be subbed. Only one blip on his performance was the penalty.

Leeds fans tend to gather in numbers on social media, they soon went quiet when the picture of their fans being brayed by a Barnsley woman went viral.

Ah maybe abit of bullying then at leeds, thought halme was great on sunday his only mistake was giving the pen away apart from that very promising performance from the 21 year old. Had bamford in his back pocket so those words in the tunnel maybe motivated him even more.

I've just watched it after the OP, jesus - its about as far from bullying as you can get and he's a bloody midget. I wouldn't get how Leeds fans would think that's hilarious.

    Watch from 4mins on.

Where are they revelling in it? There's nothing to revel in, "why not say hello are you nervous" maybe they're clutching at straws after being embarrassed on social media with this

Funny cavare pipes up and says something to him when he is shouting halme to say hello

But Yeah I don't know why they think it would be hilarious either they are a strange bunch.
To say we are a small struggling team that leeds fans couldnt care less about they didnt half enjoy beating us isnt it supposed to be our cup final?

Yes - that’s what they think of Barnsley- a small struggling team.
And yet they beat us and their comments from every Tom’s, Dick and Jimmy on social media has gone bellendistic.

Halme is a quiet lad from what I'm told, quite reserved. Really really nice lad though. Having watched the game back Bamford also has a dig at him, laughing in his face and patting him on the chest.

They weren't trying to get in his head, it's clear his face didn't fit amongst the arrogant morons in the Leeds dressing room. I wont complain though, because I'm delighted we managed to get him. Let's not forget that Leeds fans were gutted to see him go, theres a reason for that. Hes a quality player, he just needs time like everyone else. Comes across as one of those lads who just needs an arm around him when things aren't going right, and DS is the ideal bloke for that.

Your first paragraph contradicts the first sentence of your second paragraph.

Sledging is part and parcel of the game. As others have said, in Sunday league, nothing was off the table and then you had a pint with them after the game. This incident wasn’t even an incident.

I say a lot worse to players far better than me on a Sunday morning. Infact the better the player the more words got said. It’s a compliment if anything.

But if you let words affect you in sport it really ain’t for you. Just listen to some of the under the Coshh podcast and listen to what really goes on within your own team never mind the opposition.

This conversation has been reduced to Sunday league twaddle - when it should be about an experienced professional footballer trying to undermine (bully) the confidence of a much younger inexperienced player - and the lack of support this younger player receives from his team mates.

If I was lining up and I heard Alioski say that to one of my team mates there would have been a fracas before we even got onto the pitch.

I hope it happens every week , if thats the response we get from our lad. I had him as mom just in front if Sibbick.
Loved how he "looked after" Bamford all game, so much so he was subbed. Alionski didnt have one of his better games either.

This has got nothing whatsoever to do with your concerns around other teams' players abusing our players, it is about the ongoing chip on your shoulder you have about how Barnsley is seen as a small club compared to our rivals.

Stop worrying so much about what others think about us. Just because you once supported another rival club it doesn't mean everyone else has/will. Let it go!

I'd hate to go out for a drink with you, one tiny bit of banter and you'd be windmilling all and sundry...

Not just saying it I live between barnsley and leeds 90% of my mates are leeds fans and i think apart from huddersfield we are the team they enjoy beating the most, but if they lose its meaningless and our cup final....
And alot of the people who choose to sit in our home end aren't the ones who have season tickets and just cant get a ticket, they are folk who live in or close to barnsley but call themselves leeds fans. The sort of people who have a leeds car badge in their back windown but never go elland road.

WTF are you rambling on about ???
I’m reporting something that was all over ‘News Now’ with links from that website to Twitter - and relaying what was being said on there onto this message board.
Then asking the question - why no one stepped in from the Barnsley team.
