    Look whos talking eh!.

Listen Nudge, that argument can and does go both ways and those fans (like yourself) who simply refuse to admit Hecky ever does anything wrong, are exactly the same. Get it ?.
We cant keep banging on about January '17 and making out that everything wrong with the club today... is down to that and the manager does no wrong.

No they're just folk with a different opinion.

It's my opinion that you can't just blindly dodge criticism of a manager based on past sentiments

You have to admit that Hecky has been severely shafted by the plan.

Hecky is the most valuable asset at this club in my opinion.

I used to go along with that idea myself Mario, without question.
But Im now agreeing with the 'hes not the messiah' type comments where fans can see his faults and hes got to take part of the blame etc.
No I dont want to see Hecky OUT at all but I want something better from him when we surely have better options than frikkin Bradshaw on his own up front.

"You have to admit that Hecky has been severely shafted by the plan."
Ohh the plan eh Conan, which one minute seems to be ace and the next minute seems to be a disaster in the making. Yes I/we all know Hecky didnt want to sell those popular players, and Im seriously questioning right now who is the one who makes these decisions regarding player sales and signings. If its not Hecky after all, then thats just disgraceful.

I don't think Hecky deliberately sets out to not win games; he sets up with tactics and formations to give us the best chance possible of winning. He's having to rebuild almost from scratch, with lower league players and prospects.

I believe that given time and some additions to the squad he'll have us playing better.

I didn't go today but it seems like we matched Wolves.

    We're not far away.

You honestly think he wanted to sell Hourihane for example?

Im not going on your little fishing trips kid lol.
Look seriously, Id like to know if there is somebody else 'higher up' who pulls the strings when it comes to player signings and player sales. Like I said earlier on today in a thread if thats the case, then what is Hecky doing there at the club. I wouldnt stay around under those circumstances.

All managers are there to be shot at, but surely not after 7 or 8 games with a new squad of players. Our manager for me has worked wonders with the players he's got. If Mr Beane and Mr Lee do take over I hope they start and pay Championship wages then we could stand a chance of bringing in better players and holding on to our best players.

Who do you think makes the decisions on player sales?

    Christ.

We've lost in the last minute to Wolves. And that's the signal for Hecky to be questioned. Paul Heckingbottom. After everything.

I honestly don't think some would be happy unless we win every week despite all the ******* context of who, what and where we are.

When we were bottom of L1 I understood the angst. I joined in myself. **** show it was. But Christ. To be questioning Hecky because we unfairly lost at the league leaders with the last kick?

I'm done. I need a break from this place.

It's only a very small minority though Andy. The majority remain fully behind Hecky.

Dont be so ridiculous AP White, you know only too well that this particular argument against Hecky is NOT just based on todays game and result at Wolves. And shame on you as a so called journalist for trying to win points here by suggesting this blatant piece of false opposition (which you know is not true).

I know its your job but if you take your head out of the clubs butt you might see that fans have been asking these questions of Hecky for some time now. And they/I are sick of seeing him flog the pointless dead horse that is Bradshaw on his own up front.
So come on then all those Hecky lovers and those who say its only those in the minority etc... please tell me why him playing Bradshaw on his own up front in so many games, and then changing it to 2 up front when its not worked when we've gone behind, is a good thing ?.

I posted on here in 01/17 that Patrick Cryne was selling up.
I got absolutely shouted down for suggesting as such.
.........'we'll be reight' .......was generally the comment I got back then.
A winning team ONE point off the playoffs was sold from under Hecky.
A winning team that cost foook all to put together.

I've also recently been posting about the failure of the club during the summer to get enough, or the right mix of strikers into the club.
We are short on strikers in more ways than one.
Hecky can only play the players and formations available to him.
    His formation options are limited.

The players that were brought in were brought in late - so Hecky hasn't had enough time yet to work with them.

I have said that the new owners should have put money forward to make sure we got a few more quality strikers so we could get to January in a good state. They didn't.

Under all these circumstances - I honestly didn't think we would pick up any points until October when Hecky had time to work with the players.

We are still at the start of the season - and for some 'fans' now to start berating Hecky I find UNBELIEVABLE!!!
But seeing what's posted on here from day to day - it shouldn't be a surprise.
These so called 'fans' must have a memory and an understanding of the world that is worse than a goldfish.

If we get to the end of the season and we are bottom of the league and 20 points adrift - then I will STILL support Hecky.
It has to be said that Hecky has had a lot to put up with.
But he has more than shown what he can do with such little resources.
What could this guy do given the right backing ??? !!!

I think the important thing is to realise that Hecky is still learning his trade. He has loads of potential to be a top manager and given the right resources I think it's not far round the corner.
The squad is fresh and many players are still below championship standard but there is clearly a lot of talent to be nurtured there with exception to a few maybe. The future does look bright with the pending takeover and with PC's son retaining a small share i'd like to think the club keep hold of Hecky. So what if we have a season of struggling again, we're rebuilt from next to nothing and have an uphill test but we are capable of better and the results will start to come throughout tue season.
January will be an intersting window and one we should look forward to.
Can I even dream that Hourihane may come back like Hammill did?
    Once a Red......

I've never said the Plan was "ace". It's obvious who makes the decisions re player sales but I best not say or I will be lynched.
