Absolutely. Just glad we got Mr Duff over the line before Blackpool came again. Very fortunate but credit where its due to all involved at BFC.
Funny that. Because as soon as Blackpool made an approach for Duff, many on here said we'd missed out on him. I reckon Blackpool could struggle next season.
I've said it before, more than once, why does he keep getting these positions? He must have some photo album.
My favourite post on that thread. “I am gutted. More so because Ben and the Board sold us a vision of what the new hungry talented coach would look like. Lo and behold we've ended up with this ferret faced lovely person back at the club.”
He must interview very well keeps getting what seems decent jobs, didn't realise there's history bailed on them after 11 games in 2013 to go to Blackburn that's either a very brave or stupid move by Mansford.
As their website article says announcing him he recently just missed out on getting Lincoln to the second tier where they haven't been for over sixty years.
Don't know why there's so much ridicule for the guy. From his time at Oxford, his record doesn't seem too bad. 45.1 win % at Oxford (2014-2017) and 38.5% at Lincoln (2019-2022). Unlucky not to take Lincoln up to the championship the other season. I guess people are still looking at his records when he managed Portsmouth and Blackburn.
tbf to him, his average WR at his last 2 clubs is more than Duff's - and that's also over 50% more games. like you say, he gets grief because of his time before Lincoln and Oxford. if Lincoln and Oxford were his only two clubs, he would have a very different reputation. but more than that, I think he gets grief because he has a skeletor face from the 80's

I was thinking that earlier. They were well organised and workmanlike last season but lacking in quality. Them and Rotherham amongst the strugglers for me
