Last 10 games won 5 lost 4 drawn 1 in between scoring 4 away in the FA cup. If that's a blip I would only assume an upturn to happen shortly and when the top 2 hit there blip we are more than capable of taking advantage and closing in our target of promotion.
Tbh Stendils interview and his puzzled expressions shows there is something wrong and he’s aware of it . Time will tell if he can pull them out of it as I fear January may be too late as far as autos goes imo. Not doom and gloom by any means but concerning knowing what we are capable of
On current form I think we'll finish the season with 77 pts which should be enough for a play-off spot.
The strikers need to keep doing whatever it was they did to score 4 nearly every other match. Its just the defence. Its been as unstable and shaky as a Tory party all season.
Teams who lose 40% of their games don't get promoted. Why would you assume there will be an upturn and the top two will have a blip?
Last time we got promoted we lost 35% of the games so it doesnt take much of an upturn to hit that stat I think there is a good chance the top 2 will have a blip - maybe Pompeys is starting now but regardless of who has and doesnt have blips we need to get to at least 85 points to have a realistic pop at automatic and probably 90 to be certain. Currently after 20 games we are on target for around 80 points so we need to improve currently I dont see it - the loss of Dougall has been massive for us and so far Woodrow has not been fit enough to play the role we need. At the moment I think we are more realisticly a playoff than automatic team but results between now and the end of 2018 will clarify things a bit I feel - 10 points from the next 5 games keeps our automatic hopes alive lose more than 2 of them and they are probably drifting away
