"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift." Barnsley 7/5 (42%) Wednesday 9/4 (31%) Draw 23/10 (30%) I don't know what people who were there think, but the Channel 5 highlights of QPR suggested that we created plenty, if only we'd found a finish or two. And the stats seemed to back that up. Villa and Millwall (Cup) didn't look too clever. But against Fulham we were on top and playing quite well until Mr Cavare's intervention. Wolves was a very good performance against the outstanding side in the division. And for all Sunderland's woes, that was tidy too. Wednesday have had two wins in the Cup and four 0-0 draws. Their other two games this year were absolutely atrocious home defeats against Burton and Birmingham. Two of the worst defensive displays I've ever seen in the second tier. They look to have many injury problems, and they still can't seem to find the key to unlock Jordan Rhodes' talents. Much too short to be backing us amidst the current uncertainties at 7/5. But the potential prize for a win tomorrow is absolutely huge in terms of our momentum in the coming weeks. It will be fascinating to see how Paul Harsley lines us up. It will tell us much about him and the squad. It might also be that if Paul and the side look capable tomorrow, it could buy us the time to properly consider the vital next management appointment. PH (this one) to the end of the season if we look presentable tomorrow?
Weve a new gaffer albeit part time who likes to attack. Playing a team riddled with injuries and suspensions. Players they cant afford to play. Team stocked up with kids. 1 nil. Thirty yard last minute net breaker from some spotty runt theyve thrown in at the deep end.
1-1 Wednesday will play their twelfth man joker card and score with a contentious penalty in stoppage time. They'll also kick lumps off us all game, but the eagle-eyed ref won't see a thing.
