I said that we need to keep Hourihane, Watkins, Roberts and Yiadom to challenge for the play-offs. Everyone else (imo) is somewhat replaceable. That's meaning no disrespect to any other players, They all make up what is a great team. I just feel our system revolves around those 4 players. Winnall has gone, but we have replacements at the club already in Bradshaw and Armstrong (and Watkins could play up there). If the Bogle rumours are true, he could be our top striker next season. It's looking like Conor is on his way (but hopefully not, remember it's just rumours right now), but it's not the end of the world. We still have a good team and we'll still get goals and win games. I have no doubt we'll stay up. It happens in football, let's trust in the club and the system, I'm sure we have many players lined up that could be a top midfielder for next season. Maybe even at the club already.
My thoughts entirely. Sure it's disappointing, but life goes on. None of this 'thats it I'm done' garbage, as a supporter I will always be there for my team regardless.
Let's hope Moncur can step up! It's looking very likely that he's going to get his chance sooner rather than later.
Even if the club lies to us? Players, managers, owners come and go, we all know that. Over all the years we have sold our better players. But when we are told that Winnall and Hourihane would not sign new contracts, but it is worth more to the club to let them leave for nothing in the summer, and now this? It's not players leaving. It's the lying.
We're never going to get the full facts, it wouldn't make sense for the club to disclose everything to the fans. Everything we know our competitors also know.
