    We should definitely have got more for Drinkwater despite him not being our player. Actually while we are at it where was our share of the 85 million quid for Gareth Bale. Shocking really.

    Not been sold for tens of millions though and to be fair he turned us down rather than us not putting up the fee.

    The point is that over the years we've probably missed or not gone through with numerous signings who have turned out to do nothing.

    I agree
    The change in direction in recruitment has been brilliant - the whole of the football league must be taking notice of this.
    But as Hecky has said today.........."we cant keep doing this forever"
    So there has to be a change.
    And that change will come if someone at the club is able to put a proper value on players AND be able to maintain proper playing staff contracts that cannot be abused.
    Until then, Barnsley will continue to work their ba.llacks off to stack the sweet shop - only for the likes of Wendy to walk through the front door and steal everything off the shelves.

    There is only one way to get any body to leave or at least stop posting drivel and that is to stop responding. Nudger feeds on negative reaction and the number of responses his posts receive, he posts purely for this reason. Stop feeding him! His outrageous comments (especially over the last couple of days) deserve only to be ignored, responding only encourages him to continue to spout garbage!

    To be fair though i would doubt you've had many staying who've been offered 4, 5 or 6 times their regular salary , plus a healthy signing on fee .

    can you think though of a club that is actually being run better ?...every club in the Championship has year on year massive debts and or is making big losses .
