Hello not been on here for a while, hope everyone is doing ok.

I am thinking of subscribing to Barnsley Player. I was just wondering whether there were any restrictions to listening abroad as I am moving to Malaysia at the end of August for 3 years and would be listening to commentary from there. Just though tt would be pretty pointless paying for the service if I couldn't use it whilst there.

If I cannot get access to commentary whilst over there, is there any 'legal' service that I would be able to use.

    Thanks in advance.

No other options commentary wise, and you should have no probs getting "Player" over there,I am almost sure there are other ex-pats who have it abroad. Its a decent commentary too, also it opens you out to ALL the other clubs "Players" or at least it used to.This means if you wanted to you could listen to other games if needed. Its about £39 so less than a quid a game just for Barnsley games. If you add the cups and the other teams you can get then its really peanuts.

I don't think there are restrictions abroad, i got access to the main page of player last year in turkey (although didn't play content). Maybe ask the club direct... asking on official bfc on twitter seems to get fairly prompt answers.

As far as player, for the cost of less than £40 a year, its a bargain. Watching interviews instead of just printed media gives a much better feel, you get the full game to watch (if you have time) and brief highlights plus player and manager interviews ahead of and after games. As Sheldor says, you can access other clubs players too (i watched the butterfield interview on the Norwich site).

So if you can get access.... i'd say give it a whirl. I did hear someone say they tried it on a trial and had to give a months notice to terminate the agreement but if you take it for a year it won;t be too much of an issue.

also check out this streaming link , its excellent

    and legal too apparently

    http://www.footballstreaming.info/streams/todays-links/

that gets decent live streamed video of games, I have used it regular. The quality can vary just play around with the various streams to find one that seems best to you.Shows mostly premier league , but does get a good amount of championship and other leagues across the world too.

Looking forward to having rice/noodles nearly every meal... I'm thinking of trying some sort of fusion cooking whilst I'm over there. Yorkshire Pudding with Malaysian Laksa.

    Barnsley Player is Superb Value

I listen to it in Germany all the time, have the odd technical hitch but nothing significant. Great value for what you get as others have said.

By the way I can also get it in Dodworth.

Don't think I will be using it in Dodworth, too exotic for my liking up there.
