I still have to check the spelling of De Zeeuw every time I write it. Feels like there are too many e's in the middle, and that it needs one at the end. David Curry and Liam Lindzi also give me problems.
Stendle, Stendal Hamill, Hammil Connor Hassle Davy Steel Also, I love it when we singe players, or even sing them.
A few people had trouble spelling the first half of Derrick Parkers name as well I also saw Ronnie Galvin written down more than a few times
Never mind the spelling. What about the pronunciation? Bähre caused commentators all sorts of problems - good job he's out of favour. It's easy really - "bearer". Mowatt. - is it "mow" as in "mow" the lawn or "mow" rhyming with "how"? Oduor? Often pronounced as "odour" - as if he is some sort of smell. I am not certain of the correct pronunciation. Where are the stressed syllables? Anybody know? Funnily enough most commentators get Simoês right - with the Portuguese pronunciation at the end of the word being "sh". And some away commentators can't get the two syllables of Halme and rhyme him with "calm"
I remember when it was Peter Rimsdale. Now that bloke did have a problem with Doyle who tried to sell him the club.
