We have lost a potentially good Championship team.
A team that could challenge for promotion to the Premeirship.

    Mawson
    Hourihane
    Winnall
    Morsey (in a way)
    Bree
    Watkins
    Scowen

Plus a shed load of loan players from Fletcher to Kent that weren't really Barnsley players.

The squad is now down to the bare bones.
Hecky says we start from a position further back than where we were this time last year.

So obviously Barnsley supporters are concerned at the lack of transfer news coming from the club.

Let's see what happens towards the end of June.

More worrying for me is that we've been muddling along without a CEO for night on five months.

Worrying for me that we've been told we would have a CEO in place last week and then over the weekend and then at the latest, today.

The CEO is due to be appointed by the end of the week.
    That was said throughout February.

You would think (hope) this would be the club's number one priority so God knows what's going on.

The media/press must have told you this.

The Club haven't made any such claims.

When things are finalised at the Club, regards incomings and outgoings, the Club will release such news. Anything external is exactly that. And whilst news of incomings and outgoings will inevitably find their way into the external domain, they are not 100% in terms of reliability.

However, if the Club announce things of that nature, there will be 100% reliability.

    Hope this clears that up.

    Enjoy your Bank Holiday.

Regarding signings my optimism that we're going to be OK was boosted when YTBFC said something along the lines of
that it's early days and we should "chill out" because we could be pleasantly surprised.!

Season ends to-day. Huddersfield are saying if they win they will offer Man City £10 million for Mooy.
Many other clubs in our league are looking at what's out there.
We will have deals lined up of that I'm certain. Just a matter of closing them out.
The CEO unveiling must be close otherwise the Chronicle wouldn't have made any reference in Fridays edition re-" it's not Ben" unless of course they're speculating.

For fecks sake give it a rest. We all know you're like a broken record and most of us are sickened of hearing it.
Most players contracts are generally to the end of June.
Most players and managers are now on their holibobs.
Please stop being a troll and wait till nearer the start of next season afore you start up again with your constant sniping.
    Have a nice summer break.

See this from a Barnsley fan point of view and not someone who works at the club, it doesn't look great

It was a quote made by Mr M Watkins.

The club off the pitch have had nothing short of a shocker since Mansford joined Leeds.

    I see it clearly, mate.

Until things are confirmed by the Club, anything else is speculation.

What do you see clearly? That we have gone nigh on five months without a CEO? Either we need one or we don't. If we do then it's piss poor to find ourselves in this position.

    In a newspaper?

Like I say, when anything is confirmed by the Club through official channels, you can rely on it. Anything else is speculative in the main, hopeful at best. I find life is much easier to navigate whenever I deal with facts, rather than rumour.

Fully appreciate we all like a good gossip, to debate possibilities etc. It's part and parcel of football and of being a football fan. And I'd be silly to try and convince anyone that things in football aren't capable of changing due to a number of variables. It's the same in all walks of life.

    Quick analogy for you:

Me and the missus thought we'd secured the house we now live in, almost 6 months before we finally did. But events occurred that delayed it, twice.

I do though disagree with your final sentence. But I'm better placed to make such a claim.

The Club will never be praised and commended, regardless of how well things are actually going. It never happens. Everything hinges on football results. For example, had we finished in the playoffs but lost, there'd be nobody whingeing about a lack of CEO (a position FTR that didn't exist at the Club until Ben Mansford arrived, which makes you wonder how we coped for the previous 126 years).

Results are good? What a team, what a manager.
Results aren't good? Club is falling apart.

I used to be a big mouth on here remember. I've been there, done that, got many t-shirts.

It's funny how facts change minds. And remember, the mind is everything. :p

Ok mate, cheers. Not having a go personally to yourself and the club but only hearing rumours, hoping they're true, is the only thing we have to go on during the off season.

All I will say James is that as an employee of the Club I am not worried. In fact I'm excited.

But I appreciate others hold opposing views, such is life.

Debate and discussion is healthy, always.
