    I thought this was going to be about a video that popped up on my newsfeed last night from BBC Newsnight:



    Disgraceful. They could and should have done a video about members from all parties who were changing allegience and why. At the very least they should have corrected the opening statement from the guy saying that the Tories are the only ones who will deliver Brexit. As much as the BBC didn't personally say it, by airing it without a correction people will believe it as they saw it on the BBC.

    I have generally believed that the BBC supports ' the establishment ' rather being politically biased. The reporting of Corbyn has shown me to be wrong. They are clearly attacking him with an agenda borrowed from the right wing press.

    Keeping up the pretence that you don't know, or I guess believe, that Corbyn has said that he will go forward with Brexit (perhaps not in the way that a lot of people voting Leave envisaged but a Brexit all the same), surely you can't be denying that UKIP would be for Brexit?

    As far as UKIP is concerned, I am referring to parties that have a hope in hell of being in a position of influence re delivering Brexit. UKIP don't have a single MP.

    If, God forbid, Labour were to win power then it would be nothing like a brexit that people voted for. Brexit in name only. Most of the front bench still don't have a problem with unfettered immigration. The majority of the PLP don't want brexit and are only towing the line because their core vote don't agree with them. Under a Labour government I would seriously doubt it would actually happen, despite what you say about Corbyn going forward with it.

    Tbe majority of Conservative Mps also didn't support Brexit. Shall we dig out some Teresa May quotes about Brexit?

    Undoubtedly. There is a far larger percentage of people in the house of commons on both sides who favour staying than is reflected in the population at large, on both sides.
    Difference is, I trust that the Tories are serious about seeing it through and I know what their negotiating position is. I do not trust that a Labour government would see it through in the same way at all. Particularly since a Labour government would mean a larger number of Labour anti Brexit MPs who could then be backup up by anti EU parties such as the SNP and Lib Dems to form a majority against anything relating to Brexit.

    Well it wasn't a Brexit that involved continued free movement of people as the price to pay for staying in the single market for a start.

    I noticed this on day one and complained to ITV News about their coverage, which was unremittingly negative towards Labour. Being told Labour has no chance day after day, is forced to influence some people that there's no point voting for them

    I know it has with people I know. When I ask them why they think Corbyn is 'unelectable' they say 'he just is' or 'because no-one will vote him' and then use that reason to not vote Labour. If they gave actual reasons like some people on this BBS (even if I don't agree with them ;) ) then fair enough, but the only reason they can give for not voting for Labour is because they think no-one else will vote for Labour which is just a self-fulfilling prophecy.

    Yes I wasn't aware that they voted on rejection of the single market. The extreme right are trying to make out it was so and have clearly convinced the politically naive on here as well as out there. I thought it was meant to be on issues other than immigration...
