Be careful out there

About 10:30 last night I was walking up Peel Street having purchased a pizza. My next memory is of some people asking if I was OK. I don't know what happened in the intervening period or how long is missing from my memory.

What I do know:
I have a lump and a cut in the back of my head.
My elbows and knees are sore and grazed as if I fell forward.
I have a deep gash on the bridge of my nose, which I believe is broken although not displaced.
I have swelling consistent with at least three other blows to my face.
I can't tell the full extent of the damage because I don't bruise (strange but true)
I had been relieved of my phone, my wallett, my tobacco and papers and my pizza.
When I got home I looked like I was in a horror movie.
My coat and jeans show clear sign that I was dragged somewhere while on my back.
My ex drove me to the police station today to report it, but they just told me to ring 101

I'd imagine that peel Street has quite a few cameras dotted around on it so hopefully whoever scum is who has done this to you will be found on camera.

That’s terrible, hope you make a full recovery. About 3-4 weeks ago my daughter’s best mate’s dad had same thing happen to him. Think he was hit on the head from behind with a bottle. It happened on New street near where the old Chicago Rock was. Do the Police even care anymore?

 

I hope you are ok mate. Is a 101 because they don’t need to send an officer and it just needs recording. 999 would have just done the same. It’s because they know that there’s no chance of finding them. What with the CCTV in town being off and that.

I hope CCTV shows something. The indifference of the police isn't good enough. Mind you, they're very busy monitoring hate speech.

Terrible news mate, but glad you're well enough to share this with us and warn us all to be cautious in town.
I genuinely scanned down to the bottom of your post looking for some punchline along the lines of 'got mugged by Josh Brownhill', but clearly this is no joke.

I dont think CCTV is monitored anymore due to cuts hence all the shops getting burgled so often and so blatantly, kicking/smashing front doors, windows etc.

 

Always told you tobacco is bad for you. Fingers crossed they got the shits from your pizza.
